Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

Hi Lori, as always your post(S) cracked me up. I always have to wonder what will come out your mouth (or typing fingers) next. Glad that you finally replaced that toilet seat. Sounds like it was waaaay past due. What a mean mommy you are. I did the same kind of thing however. I remember at Target one year the girls just had to have a doll that was crying. They felt so bad for the crying baby. I came home without and when Ted got home, I ran and bought the doll. They still have those dolls to this day.

Yep, we have to talk date to open gifts! Who doesn't have theirs yet? We have to watch the date because of Julie and baby.

Darren, I will anxiously await something in the mail. By the way, Heidi was on a site and found your picture in an Animators Palate vest. She sent it over to me. It was a great pic of you! Your smile lights up the world.

Well, went to the hospital this morning THINKING I was going to have a baby, WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! I was having contractions that were about 5 mins apart and lasting for 40 sec to 1 1/2 mins. Call my doctor and told him that I was having this since about 3am (it was 6:30am when I called). He said go in. SOOOOO I called Garry to come home from work and we went to the hospital. THe contractions were 5 mins apart and were medium strong. THe house doctor came in to check me and I was ony 1cm and 80 % enfaced. SOOO, they called my doctor and he said to have me walk the halls for an hour or so to see where I would be. Garry and I walked laps (about 50 or so laps around the maternity floor) and then they checked me again. I was still at 1cm. I then was told to just rest in the bed and they would check me again. Now my contractions were 2 to 3 mins apart. They checked me again and STILL ONLY 1cm. My doctor was given the update and he told me to go home and he'd see me tomorrow for my doctor's appointment at 10am. Here my urine that was taken this morning came back with a beginning of a urinary track infection and that is what was causing the contractions and that I wasn't in labor!! NICE!!!!!!!!! What a day! I'm still having the contractions now, but I know that they aren't the real thing. Boy did I feel stupid this morning! SO, I had no sleep last night or today and poor Garry worked last night and spent the morning walking the halls dead tired. At least when we got home this afternoon, he got to sleep some. I got about 1 hour of sleep but nothing too great. So, that is my big news!

Gift exchange, when Barb and the family get home we will open then if that is ok. If I'm not around, that is ok I will catch up when I get back.

Sorry to hear that you were sick for Christmas Darren. I hope the new year is better for you!

Well, gonna go. Gonna try to get some sleep, yeah right! Have a safe and Happy New Year's Eve tomorrow night!

Everyone at our house had a great holiday. The house was filled with HEALTHY family, friends, laughter, food & cheer! It was a really great loving time. It was especially nice having a boyfriend. He met the family & survived! New Year's Day I get to meet his family - 76 first cousins & I have 4 first cousins! Finally got a dress for tonight. It is a short black dress with a little beading at the top & a jacket - very classy. I got palazzo pants for the party on 1/9/04 but Bobby's new mortgage company starts 1/2/04 so there is a possibility he won't make the party.

Hope my Cruise Family all had a Merry Christmas & that the New Year is filled with nothing but the best things in life! GO EAGLES! Toodles JEANNE

Well, hello Jeanne. Was wondering what happened to you! Sounds like a terrific Christmas for you (and Bobby ). I didn't realize that you were going to be together. Don't forget to take a picture tonight. 76 cousins? Yikes ! Have a blast! Your dress sounds soooooo pretty.

So Julie, you are still around, huh? Remember what the doctor said. A NEW YEARS BABY! New Years is TOMORROW!

My parents have officially entered the computer age! They finally wanted one for Christmas, so my brother helped them order it. They are setting it up this afternoon. Now, hopefully they will use the darn thing.

Just about everything is ready for our get together tonight. I need to stuff the hens and get them in the oven, chop the chestnuts and get the soup going, then the broccoli. The Banfi champagne from Italy (Epcot) is chilling in the fridge, the dips are made and the house is clean. Yippeee!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is a pork roast with sauerkraut in the crockpot, plus spaetzle that has been in the freezer since Kaleigh's party.

Home from work and getting ready to go to a friend's house for New Years. I am making chili cheese dip and a blueberry dump cake at her request. Turner is definitely much better. we actually went to a hockey game last night but he wanted to leave early. I guess he gets a little run down still but during the day you wouldn't know he had been sick.

Party at my house!!! (shhh, Ben doesn't know yet) Ben and Katie are up skiing and Cody and I decided to throw an impromptu party and call everyone on the block plus the families of his friends. Hit the liqure store (Cody reminded me he should not even be carrying Champagne as he is under age) and deli. OK, we're ready, everyone come on over. We need some fireworks!!! Anyone passing thru Wyoming on the way over? Hmmm, I'll have to figure out something big and loud and bright.... You know I'll do it.

For those with much better plans and/or bonafide reasons not to come... HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Julie, appreciate your doctor for not pushing you into having that baby for the simple reason that he had already been awoken for it! My nurses said it was a false alarm with Katie and that he would send me home, but the dork decided to induce and it took two days of force thru chemistry for that girl. Some decisions are better left up to God! (Katie's been pissed off ever since) LOL

Home safe and sound and only had one glass of bubbly. Very laid back party except for the kids and the noisemakers starting around 11:45. Good to be home.

Just checked my numbers for the $210 million powerball and didn't even hit one single number right. At first I thought I was starting the new year off with such bad luck then I remembered that the numbers were for Dec. 31st so that means I ended 2003 with bad luck. SO, 2004 must be my year. If no one wins tonight (I hope they don't), I may still get lucky with Saturday night's numbers!

I just knew that Julie was going to have the first baby of the new year!

Everyone seems happy, but tired. I am still in Tulsa (a 2 week stint) and going home tomorrow after the big OSU Cotton Bowl game.

I am glad we didn't open gifts yet, mine is at home still under the dried up tree. It looks pretty pitiful there, but David hasn't peeked yet.

Party was great. 15 people who wouldn't go home after midnight! I was SO tired. Katie had a girlfriend spend the night and we finally got to bed at 2:30. Hope you all had good nights.

We had a really nice time last night and the food turned out really good. I sent some pictures from last night.

We stuffed ouselves on the pork roast today, Kaleigh really shoveled it in. Today is Ollie's birthday. He is now 5 years old.

Enjoyed the Rose parade, sleeping in and a nap.

Sounds like everyone (at least those that posted) had a nice evening.

Still here, no baby, feeling like I'm going to explode! The Big Guy got a virus on Tuesday and has felt horrible until tonight. He is now back on track to being his "wild" self! Garry worked last night and had a "wonderful" new year with all the drunks! Thank goodness he doesn't have to work tonight!

I'm here Denine! I got my laundry done yesterday. Thank goodness! Heidi would be crazy to move out! I do her laundry with Ted's and mine just to save water and electricity.

Hmmmmm, Bonnie and Glenn must be having a good time. Haven't heard from her for awhile!

Susan, when you said "bubbly" that made me think of that wonderful wine that Ted and I brought onboard. Guess I have to make a run to the liquor store. Or should I buy Asti, Jeanne?? Susan, I know that your luck will turn around this year. Will you still share the winnings with all of us?

I love my new computer. Ted hasn't completely put the old programs on the new one yet so this is on my kitchen table. Easy access is wonderful. I think that Ted believes this is all I do! Well, maybe I do,
