Well, packing is done! I finished it last night. Just waiting to load the car for tomorrows trip to the airport! I don't thnk I have forgotten anything! I can't wait to see everyone! We will all be thinking of the rest of you who could not come this time. Our plane leaves at 7:05 pm tomorrow night so I hope that we will miss all the holiday travel at the airport!

We had our first real snow fall yesterday! The girls are out as I type building a snowman! Garry and the kids and I watched the Christmas party video from Disney from 2000. Boy did that put me in the mood! THe only thing I have to do today is to clean up the house so it will be fairly clean for when we get back.

I have sent our secret santa gift out this past week so I'm sure that my family will get it before Dec 13th.

Well, gonna go. Gonna see about how to print our boarding passes off the computer!

Have a great day! Can't wait to see all of you!

Hi guys, just checking in. Lori is missing in action on the board. Hopefully, Darren and Laurie will be able to talk to Lori, Barb, Sally and Krista when we are all gone.

Darren, I remember Lorenzo! I didn't realize that he was off the ship. I love to eat at Alfredos. It is one of my favorites. I was just telling Bonnie a few nights ago how I like it. Too bad Ted doesn't like it. He likes to eat at Germany and I don't. So that means neither one of us goes to our favorite place.

I can't believe the temp in Florida. We hit it that cold one year. It was unbelievable. We did a 3 day land 4 day sea cruise and when we hit Nassau and Castaway Cay we were all wearing sweats. Sure hope it warms up!! It was funny because everyone at WDW looked a like. We all had to buy hats and gloves and believe me there was no selection. Got smart and we are bringing them back down this time.

Gosh, everyone around us is sick. I pray that we don't get it.

We are putting up our Christmas tree tonight with Heidi's
"boyfriend". He is older and has been married before. He has twin 6 year old girls that are going to help. They are just too cute.

Better run. Going to look for some shorts to pack. I am still planning on sunny days. I won't give up!

Darren...I was wondering what happened to Lorenzo. I thought he went to work in Palo's...I will definitly stop in to see if he is working. I will have someone take a picture of us with him.
Couldn't you get a visa and work in EPCOT again? I wish you could. Then you could get us cast member discount at the hotels!!! I am selfish!

Packing...and Packing...and Packing. No shorts for me...some capris but that is about it.

Have a safe trip Julie et al!!! See you all in a couple of days!!!! We are slowly dwindling down to WDW! I can't wait to see you all!!!

I have one big one but they usually go over the 50# limit. I am thinking of taking 2...how many does anyone else pack per person?

Bonnie, we had to open and rearrange our suitcases right there at the check in counter, coming home from Hawai'i! Talk about embarrassing. Hotels might do a good service by having scales available for guests to check the weight distributions. LOL

You guys are off to play. ...sigh...
Have a terrific time, I know you will.

Denine, WOW I completely forgot about the Turkey fryer. My Mom cooked the bird, but I might have offered had I remembered about it. It's actually Ben's baby. We had 41 guests there!

OK Laurie, Barb and Darren. Lets see..... we can't play trivia questions cause only Darren will win... Barb might make up some 'cheers' for us, as she is sososo energetic. Laurie is the activities director. What's new on Broadway?

Oh, speaking (typing?) of shows, I just got back from seeing the Nutcracker with my girlscouts. The performers gave a workshop for them after the ballet. That was pretty cool seeing them as regular people (ok, without toenails). Part of the badge requirement was to learn the steps to several different dances from around the world. Two of the older guys (they were brothers) lead us in a western dance and it was TOO funny watching these guys in tights doing a full blown boot slappin honky tonk line dance! When the move called for a turn, they of course turned twice in the air before ending up back into the right place. They did it so good, I think they actually could walk into a country bar dressed like that and after dancing, everyone would stand and applaud.
That was a kick. The director of the company is a big fan of scouts, so they do this workshop gig for girlscouts once a year.

Well, that's it for me. Here at home..... all by my lonesome....

Hiddy Ho everyone! Could be the last time I check the boards before leaving tomorrow night. Bonnie, we have 2 of the wheel type carry ons that we will check at the counter and one big bag (hopefully it meets the weight requirement! Fingers crossed!). On the way back we will have Anna Marie's carry on too. I used those space savers packing bags for the kids and myself, and it really worked! The clothes for the three of us are in the big luggage. Garry's is in one of the carry ons and all the "bath stuff" is in the other. We also take some staples with us since we stay it the DVC rooms. We bring coffee, coffee filters, sugar packets, coffe creamer etc... so we don't have to go right out and shop at the grocery store as soon as we get there (all of that goes into the one carry on).

We did our annual family Christmas tradition tonight! We all sat us and watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer! We had popcorn and all sat in the living room with the Christmas tree lite and had our Rudolph night!

Well, I guess I'm gonna go. Keep the thread alive and we will be thinking of you! We will send you guys emails from EPCOT!

Per all reports on the internet we will have perfect weather lows in the 50's highs in the mid to low 70's even better....NO RAIN!!! Yeah!!!! We got enough last year to last us for a few trips!

I am getting excited. I think I better go with a carry on bag in addition to the big suitcase...I don't want to have to pay $25 just to get the suitcase there!!!!! Although I thought US Airways was still at a 70# minimum.

I can't stand it!!! I don't know what I am more excited about...seeing Glenn, seeing the cruisers or just plain old WDW...I think Glenn # 1, cruisers #2 and WDW #3...

Bon Voyage Juile, Garry, Big Guy and The Princess!!!

See you all soon!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I can't stand it!!! I don't know what I am more excited about...seeing Glenn, seeing the cruisers or just plain old WDW...I think Glenn # 1, cruisers #2 and WDW #3...

Seeing Garry of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

That's right, it's me! Just had to post before we left today and make sure my countdown timer is for real! Looking forward to seeing everyone down in WDW!

See all (well, a lot) of you soon!

Last post from me until we get back!! Everything is all ready to go. Just have to batht he kids (don't want to offend anyone on the airplane) and we are outta here!

Bonnie, you just missed me lst night! I just turned off my computer right before you messaged me last night (this morning). Having trouble with the sleeping thing (baby and trip combined).

Can't wait to see all of you cruisers who are going! Those that will keep the thread alive.... we will miss you and I know that you will do a great job!

See you in Disney!

Sandy - You have to force Ted to eat at Alfredo's. Oh I just have to eat there at least once each trip to WDW, I just love the Fetacinni Alfredo (sorry cannot spell this), it's divine, also the Triticco di pasta is excellent, but I'm sure you already know all of this!

Bonnie - I wish I could get a visa to work back at Epcot again, but unfortunatly Disney seems to have this thing where they'll only let you do the International Program once as it is so popular.
The way Lorenzo got away with it is because Alfredo's in Italy is a Participent (like Chefs de France & San Angel Inn) and they do there own hiring separate from Disney. So they can set there own hiring rules and let people work there more than once if they want.

OK Lori, Laurie & Barb - Well continuing with Lori's discussion...Don't know whats new on Broadway but has anyone seen the show Mamma Mia? I just love it, it's amazing how they managed to fit so many Abba songs in there and make they all fit so well!
Also did you know that Disney Theatrical Productions is working on a stage version of Mary Poppins that will premiere in London.

I, too, am extemely worried about the weight restrictions on the luggage. Last cruise we got a lot of comments but no extra charges. This time we don't have to pack as much but was hoping to get by with 2 large suitcases only. I plan on shipping any purchases made down there. Lori, did you have to rearrange due to weight? Guess I will call Frontier to get the weight. We bought the LARGE luggage so that we wouldn't have several pieces on a trip and donated the old smaller ones. We could be in big trouble.

Darren, I love their fettucine alfredo also. Can you recommend something for Ted that has a little spice to it?

Bye Julie and family.

OK, FOR REAL THIS TIME........... Bye everyone! See you on Dec. 9th! Keep the thread alive!

Darren, we will be eating at Alfredo's so we will say hi for you!

BYE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

Overweight Luggage... I had to pay $25 each way to and from SF on United because I had no room to take things out. American I had to rearrange take things out because it was 60#. US Airways has not been too strict in the past but I don't want to take the chance. I have packed both the large suitcase and the carry on. I will also have a backpack.
The problem is you have to pack both warm and cold clothing. Sweatshirts and jeans weigh alot. I am trying to limit the sweatshirts so don't think I am dirty wearing the same one over and over.

Glenn bought a video camera...there goes trying the belly dancing in Marakesh Tuesday night!!!! Unless of course he ply's me with champagne or wine or something...then I am liable to do anything!

Bonnie, I have decided to wear one pair of jeans and pack the other. I have limited myself to 2, maybe 3 sweatshirts. Of course, shorts and shirts. So don't think we are dirty people either. We plan on doing laundry. We want to bring raincoats and an extra pair of shoes. Then all the bathroom junk and then the medicine for the just in case I get a cold stuff. Wow, it really adds up! Did you tell Tiffany Towncar that you wanted a grocery stop? That is where we will pick up Ted's pepsi. Doesn't that sound familar Lori?

I told them I wanted a grocery stop. Then I told Glenn. We will get h2o, flavored h2o and some sort of soda for Glenn and some snacks. I will make sure we have a list prior since you only get 20 minutes.
I think I am packed. FOr some reason I can't find my backpack though. It was with the suitcase. I can't find my good sunglasses either. I may have to wear my Minnie Mouse sunglasses.

Off to work...how will I ever concentrate!

Good morning all. Ted and I are off and running. Going separated directions for awhile and then we will meet in the middle of the day. Pack and then off to slumberland. We have to get up around 4. Didn't want to shower in the AM but might need to. I tried new stuff for my hair to control the frizz and curls in Fl but it looks greasy. Can't stand it.

We got the family room painted. It just won't be put back together.

Where is Sally and Barb? Probably too busy decorating for Christmas.

Better run. First stop, a manicure. I took off my acrylic nails and I have some really nasty looking nails.

Sandy - Something with spice in it, mmm, not too sure about that one, although maybe Ted could try the Veal Chop. It really is excellent (although a little pricey). Also if Ted likes steaks, they now have Filet Mignon on the dinner menu! You'll have to stop by a check out the current menus, or see if you can find Lorenzo and ask for recommendations!!

Will try to help keep the board alive.

Sandy: Can't believe you all actually painted. Wow, we could all use some of your organizing tips.

I hope everyone is having fun, and not trying to read the boards somewhere.

Darren: I just love Mama Mia!!! We had a big discussion a while back (while you were cruising). We have a big fan club here. Mary Poppins hmmm???? Sounds promising.

Lori, Laurie, anyone else?????

Krista
