Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

Of course this doesn't exist over here so it's just another normal day, but it is special in one way, my first day back at McDonalds (oh what fun!!!)

Well it looks like I've got a real fight on my hands on whether to go East or West. I've made a quote request through Dreams for the Western and also I put in a request to see if I could get stateroom 6133 for that cruise. This stateroom is the one I had on that very special October 19th cruise of ours which was my first ever Disney cruise. It would be great if I could get it for our reunion cruise!!! So at the moment I'm still swinging towards West, I'll have to see what Dreams come back with.

Also I just wanted to say Thankyou for all your support on my leaving DCL, you've all really helped me get over all the trouble I've had with them.

I'm sooooo happy!!!!!

I just checked my e-mail and Dreams has just got back to me (already!!!) and the quote they have given me for the Western is AMAZING!!!

It's $1306.27!!! tax included. Also if I book before November 30th I get an additional $50 rebate, bringing the price down to only $1256.27 inclusive. This is $225 cheaper than DCL's website.

And... It gets better, they've managed to get me stateroom 6133

Right thats it, no choice...

I am going to give up Survivor....where else do you see a bunch of losers be winners.....those girls have been there too long and it is affecting their minds. And that Jon.....what a liar....I can't believe the producers didn't call him on it and you know they had to know he lied because the camera men heard all of it...

I'm disappointed with Survivor too. I hate Jon SO much. And that Sandra, she used to be the only one left that I would like to see win, then she goes and votes for Ti after persuading her to go against Burton! Grrr, I guess Sandra fell for Jon's deal of trading Ti for a place in the final 4 with him. What a scam artist he is. I won't worry about missing future episodes, but I would like to see that final show's "reunion" portion, and see if the players are laughing about Jon's tricks by then. Maybe not this time, huh?

Darren, I have to admit you brought tears to my eyes. I love your excitement and I am so happy that you got 6133. We have the same room too. I am sooo excited. Maybe your other mom (Bonnie) can make it too. I can't wait to tell Faith, the one with the Walt Disney Suite all about you. Ted told me to tell you that he looks forward to seeing you again! Survivor made me so mad last night. How could they believe John with all his lies. How??????? I do not have a favorite anymore. After Rupert left that was it. Hey, did you guys hear about the All Star Survivor planned for Feb.? So far they have Susan, Richard, Rudy, Colby, maybe Rupert. It will be 2 larger tribes and 2 episodes longer. I just read it in the newspaper this week. Should be fun. Getting back to John, it is incomprehensible to say that his grandmother died. He lacks in so much.

I want to eat with Sally. Her food doesn't have calories. Yeah, right.

Darren: Welcome back and congrats on the cruise rate.

We are in Dallas and having great weather. David bought a car yesterday and all is good.

Our cruising options are still out there. My parents want to go in November, I want to go on the Eastern in October, Clare wants to go now, and David is not sure. It is his 40th this year and he wants to do a lot.

I have told everyone, "Just watch the new Disney commercial, "Go before the magic is gone", cry, and then think, "How can we not take Clare NOW!!!"

Looks like we will definitely be at WDW and Sea World in late May, anyone else????

Well my first shift at McDonalds went well. The place seems to have improved since I last worked there. People seem to be very motivated which makes my job much easier!!! Well my next day off is now not until Wednesday so they're throwing me in at the deep end and keeping me busy, oh just another 3 1/2 hours until I start today.

I have to say it's great to have some time to do things before and after shifts though, unlike the ship

Sandy - Oh I can tell this is going to be a great cruise, it's going to be great to see you and Ted again. Yes, we just need to work on Bonnie now to book!

You know as the saying goes "GO WEST" so for those of you that haven't booked a cruise yet, go on book Oct 23rd it's going to be great!!!

(Not that I'm trying to be mean to those going on the Eastern the week before )

Yes...this is the year I was out there with all the rest of the nuts at 5AM in the Wal Mart parking lot waiting to get all the good bargains. I swore I would never do it and there I was!

Did well...20" flat screen TV, Kodak 3.1 MP digital camera...$99 each. New coffee pot for $4.88, Belgian waffle make...same price and of course a Fisher Price toy for Olivia. Finished by 6:40AM, breakfast at IHOP and home befoer 8AM...

Now...Back to bed...good night!

Thank you all for your prayers and condolences for Shannon. She was a special little girl and will always be in our hearts. We are having the pet sitter come every day for Ollie. He is lonely without her and doesn't know what to do.

We had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday. Work was quiet, we had a light breakfast at moy moms with my brother and his family (it was so cute seeing Kaleigh and my niece playing. My niece will be 3 in January.) The it was off to Jerry's parents for dinner. Good turkey. Kaleigh enjoyed her 1st Thanksgiving meal. She kept shoving the turkey in her mouth.

We are packing today. Jerry is off doing some errands and Kaleigh is just waking up for lunch.

Can't wait to see everyone in a few days. We are leaving very early in the morning.

Now that Darren is back, even though he chose the Western over our cruise, he will help keep the thread alive while we are all with Mickey.

Have to go get another load out of the dryer and get Kaleigh up.

This is the first year I wasn't out there at 5 AM on Black Friday. It was a toss up between eating in WDW or shopping this AM & the food won out!

DARREN: I am so excited that you will be joining us!

BONNIE: You REALLY need to do the Western! You've done the Eastern & now you need a change of scenary.

I pick up Joyce 4 AM tomorrow morning. We have a 7 AM flight from Atlantic City. Only a few people know how EXCITED I get & right now I am bouncingoff the wall. I have a few little last minute things to do so I better get off the boards. Can't wait to see you all. Toodles JEANNE

Bonnie, you got a good deal on that coffee pot that we were talking about plus a few other goodies. Ted and I went out to face all those shoppers too. We went to Best Buy and bought some more scan disks for our Kodak digital camera. BUT, we are having major problems with the Kodak software screwing up the computer keyboard. We thought it was solved but typing this , I guess not. We have talked to Compaq, AOL and Kodak and it boiled down to us deleting the Kodak program and it ran fine. Now after talking to Kodak and us reinstalling a new program, it is doing it again. Just be prepared in case you have the same problem.

Darren, don't work too hard. Bonnie needs to quit buying TV's and cameras and maybe she will book. I think that we can work on her.

Joyce & I had a terrible day at work on Thanksgiving. It was SOOOOO busy &, of course, they cut down the staff. We got 10 deliveries on our shift. We REALLY need a vacation . Poor Joyce has a really bad cold too!

The boards are going to be awfully quiet when we're all in WDW. Who can we count on to keep the boards going?

Bobby called me today & asked my schedule for December. It is getting very interesting

All right, I am back.

Packing is almost finished. The car is mostly packed. Kaleigh is in bed and we will be soon enough. We are getting up at 3 AM so we can hopefully be out the door by 4 AM.

Hope Joyce feels better for flying tomorrow.

The weather for the next 10 days in WDW is supposed to be in the low to mid-70's during the day and 50's at night. Anywhere from sunny to cloudy with the majority of the days being partly cloudy. Hopefully the forecast stays that way.

We finished our Christmas shopping this week, so no shopping for us today.

Busy day yesterday...kids for dinner then off to the airport to pick mom up. Her flight was delayed after I got there...it was early per computer prior to leaving...of course that was before the driving rain hit here.

Well have a great trip everyone leaving today. Everyone whos off to WDW must make sure they ride all the attractions an extra time for me!

Also if you get time, you have to go to the Italian Pavillion and eat at Alfredos and ask for Lorenzo as your server. Don't know if anyone remembers me talking about him, he is an old Italian friend of mine that I met when I was working at WDW in 2000. He was actually working on the ship when we went on our Oct 19th cruise and was my server for the week. Well now he's back working at Epcot. So if you get chance to see him say hi for me!!

Well, don't worry all you going off, I'll keep this thread alive, even if it involves me having conversions with myself like:
