Well I did it. I took out the truck. I was so nervous but got it home safely. That truck is so wide and long. You have to learn how to drive all over again.

Sally, is traffic master like my Pergo? A wood laminate floor?

Barb, I agree with you. You need to be a "mom" to your kids but I feel you can also be their friend at the same time. That is how we are with the girls.

Denine, I am so jealous. I wanted to get Christmas cards done by the time we left, but Stacey had a hard time getting back the negative from her photographer. We are sending a pic of the 5 of us at the wedding.

Susan, you will have the time to pack. Don't stress.

Gotta go prepare dinner. I am having the girls and their guys over for dinner. It is game night.

I got the kitchen all cleaned and I can see my counter tops for the first time in a week.....Dick is doing the moulding so I can put my hutch back soon....yeah!!!

I got flowers!!! 2 days in a row.

My wonderful Husband sent me flowers today with a Thomas Kinkade house in the middle and a Mickey Balloon!!!

My sweet neice sent me flowers yesterday. I feel spoiled

Mom- I sent you an email but never heard from you. I guess you didn't get it or I never received your response

I am happy...Today is Friday... and tomorrow I am going to a craft show. Life is fun...

We spent over an hour at the vet with Shannon. It is official, she is in renal failure. For you nurses, her BUN and creatinine went sky high in 2 months time and her specific gravity dropped from normal to renal failure. She is dehydrated and her phosphorus is elevated. They gave her a bolus of fluid under her skin. They showed me how and I will do it the next 2 days. If she doesn't perk up enough to eat, then she goes in to the hospital on Monday for IV fluids for a couple of days. Meanwhile, we have to get her to eat whatever she will. I bought some sardines at the grocery store and the vet gave us a can of food. She is now on Pepcid twice a day and alternagel once a day (to get rid of the excess phosphorus). We had to reduce her vasotec by half because that is metabloized in the kidneys.
Please pray that she perks up enough to make it through the holidays. Her favorite is Thanksgiving. Roast turkey is her favorite food and she loves the fireplace.
Not to mention, that we leave 1 week from tommorrow.
She is my first baby. We have had her for almost 10 years.

Denine - Shannon is in my prayers. My Abby is 14 years old and I know how attached we get to our babies! I hope she improves.

Paul and I have been making our lists and checking them twice for everything to do this weekend and everything to pack. We'll get through it but it will be a whirlwind until we leave.

Denine, my prayers are with you and Shannon! You know how I feel about our "family members"!! Remember our medical story about our first cat Radar? They mean so much to us and we will do ANYTHING for them!!

Well, going to bed. Can't breathe and my noseand eyes are running non-stop! I sure hope that I will be able to taste food by Thanksgiving!

Well, I gave my first injection of SQ fluids to Shannon. She cooporated as best as she could. She was very good when I actually had the needle in her. It is a good thing I am a nurse!!!
She ate some sardines today. We keep offering her food throughout the day. The trick is to keep Ollie away from the food.

Sally: I have WilsonArt flooring in my kitchen. It is also a laminate. I love it!

Jerry is out washing the car, Kaleigh is napping and we are going over to a friends for dinner later.

This time next week Joyce & I will be in WDW . I can't wait. Getting very excited!

I had a DATE last Tuesday with someone from my class reunion & for the first time in a long time I came home & wanted to see him again. I usually come home & DREAD them calling again. We went to dinner & then to the movies & saw "Elf". He even sent me flowers the next day! Right now he still has a home in Richmond, Virginia, but is planning on coming back to New Jersey. We are going out to dinner with old schoolmates tonight.

I am getting stressed about packing, reservations, etc. but my Secret Santa present is in the mail & Christmas cards are out.

Whoohooo Jeanne! A good date! How fun is that? Something new to distract you! LOL Have a great time tonight. You have to tell us all about it (well, ok, not anything involving 'commando style') but you know we love our own personal mini-drama's here, and what a great topic this one is!

I have a date tonight too. It might qualify as commando come to think of it. Ben and I were invited to a big shin-dig tonight at the Adam's Mark hotel downtown. My original baby-sitter just canceled due to the snowstorm not allowing them to get home in time tonight... so the kids are having an overnighter at Grandma's tonight. Ben's out changing my tires over to studs and we're going to try for it. Cars are sliding all over the place right now. (Oh, heck, I just got called back into work ) I'm off call at 5:00 till midnight to allow me to go. It's a hospital fundraiser 'black tie Gala' that I was given free tix to, for the volunteer work I did on the float. OK, I'd better go help Ben finish those tires and get to work so I get home asap!

Lori, you so deserve tonight. Have a great time but be careful! It took us one hour to get from Quebec and C470 to our house. Cars in ditches, in accidents, spun out and anything else you can think of. We even saw the jaws of life at work on one accident. That was icky to see!

Jeanne, you go girl! We want all the juicy details. Yahoo, I can talk to you about it in a week and a half. Is he someone you were interested in in high school?

Denine, I am so sorry about Shannon! He is in our prayers. Pets are definitely family! I honestly still cry over my dog that we had to put to sleep 15 years ago. He was my first baby.

Sandy-wow!! What a shock about Heidi! Good thing she had the LEEP. Tell her to get a whole bunch of funky socks for the follow-up check ups! Makes it more fun...does she have to go every 3 months for a year now?

Well it looks like I am having Thanksgiving with Pam...the 1/2 of the split...I was looking forward to my lean cuisine meal...oh well.
Saw Olivia yesterday and took a whole roll of black and white photos with my old 35 mm SLR camera...put in for 1 hour processing...I want to see if I still have it as a photographer!
She doesn't know me of course...I feel like my son is no longer family...it is all about the DIL's family. And when I think of the last 26 years I wonder what ever happened! Another oh well...

I can't wait to see you all in a week and 2 days!!!! Plus a week in the "Heavenly Bed"! I need it. Sandy bring a picture of the truck...I want to see this monster.

We finally got snow....not a whole lot but the roads were slippery and they said the wind chill was -4 last night....It is l4 right now.

Didn't do much yesterday....Crissy had to work so didn't have anyone to run around with....she hates to drive when a snowflake falls and it was bad last night so she had her dad come get her and left her car at work.

The Broncos play in Denver....that ought to be interesting with the snow and cold.

Good Morning!

Thank you so much for all the Happy Birthday's!!

Bob was in Denver all day yesterday at a meeting. Tiffany and I hit the mall. While we were there it snow and got really slick. Scary drive home but made it safe and sound. After Bob's long trip back from Denver we went to a wedding. Only about half the guest were able to make it. But it was really nice. The groom is a Mickey fan so his groom cake was a Mickey one.

Bob is going to the Denver game today. I will be home snuggled on my couch watching it on TV.

Jeanne keep us posted on the details!!

Denine hope your baby gets better soon.

Out to dinner with two other couples. One of the couples we went to high school with us & the other couple is the one who just got engaged. We went to a great restaurant in King of Prussia called "Sullivan's" the dinner lasted four hours! Bobby is back to Virginia for Thanksgiving & I probably won't see him again until Christmastime. He wanted to go out today but I have a weeks worth of laundry to do & I need to pack for SATURDAY - YEAH! YEAH! I have to work Monday, Tuesday & Thursday & there is just not enough time.

Colorado got snow. I'm jealous!

Good morning guys! It is a bright sunny day. Extremely cold but sunny. Didn't get but maybe 2 or 3" of snow. It was just terribly icy. Barb and Sally, my DD,Stacey was in the Springs yesterday and tried to come back but it was just too bad so they stayed at the Drury Inn by Walmart. They are already home this morning. They saw all kinds of vehicles upside down on C470. I guess it wasn't as bad on I25.

Well, Ted named the truck accidently. He makes this deep voice and says "we're taking the BAD BOY". Hence, the truck is now referred to as the "Bad Boy". I will try and remember to bring a picture. It isn't completed yet as we are planning to paint a Arizona beige trim on the bottom. It is all white now.

Heidi does have to go every 3 months now. She loves socks so she loves your idea.

Jeanne, bring a picture of your honey to WDW. We NEED to see him and give our approval. I am bringing a couple of pictures of Stacey's wedding. Faith has asked to see them. Her daughter, Kristy, also got married in Sept. We are meeting Kristy at WDW.
