Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

Well, we have a 2 votes for Dec. 13th. for the gift opening. I still have addresses for everyone so don't worry about that. I will let you know who you h ave and then send you the address as well. Once I hear from everyone I will do the random drawing like I did last year. (if everyone still agrees to it). Last time I put everyone's name into a hat and had my stepdaughter pick each name out. It worked really well.

Denine, don't worry about your brother or Jerry's. It is Kaleigh's day and that is all that counts. What time are you guys having her party? Kaleigh will probably have a better time without them there. Too bad we don't have an internet camera so you could share her party with the cruisers!

Jeanne, glad to hear from you! I was surprised to see you posting tonight! I can't wait to see you in Dec.! It will be a blast!

Susan and Sandy, so what do you think about Big Brother? I was glad that the little *****didn't win. Didn't like either one of them, but I guess the lesser of two evils did if you can say that. I was glad to see that no one congradulated them for making it that far or for winning non the less. I liked when they slammed Ali about her kissing and sleeping and stuff with everyone to get ahead in the game. I LOVED that all the house guests got to look at all the tapes of the show. I hope they all got to see what a back stabbing snake in the grass ***** Ali really is. I hope when she got back home that her boyfriend Donny dumps her! She deserves NO ONE!!!!!!!!!

Bonnie, Garry has been extremely busy but he has gotten to check the boards. He did say that he will post soon.

Darren, so...... you said that you have been really busy with DCL, what about? Good news I hope. How long can you stay on board and can you do back to back contracts? How long are the contracts are they only 6 months at a time? How long between contracts do you have to "stay off the ship"? Will you be on board in Oct of next year or will you be joining us as a guest? OK.... THE BIG QUESTION....... EASTERN vs WESTERN which is really "better" for EVERYONE (families, singles, couples.. etc.)? Give us your HONEST OPINION!! ANd you HAVE to choose one.

Sandy, where are the wedding pictures? Been dying to see them!

Susan, I hope you feel better soon. Head colds are the worst!

Went to bed with the TV on but fortunately the meds took over and I went to sleep shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, I did not see the Big Brother finale, but then again, I wasn't happy with the two finalists so no loss! I am glad Jun won over Ali but I wish neither had one.

I think the head cold is more like a sinus infection and I am starting to get some chest congestion too. I also have a GI appointment on Friday for the colitis.

Stanley goes back to the vet for booster shots today.

We will have a hockey tournament on the 13th but if we open gifts late enough, we should be able to join in that night. The 20th may be too close to Christmas for anyone traveling to join in. So, I guess I vote for the 13th.

December 13th sounds good to me. Can you draw names earlier this year Julie so that we can plan better for that special family? It is a lot of work so we appreciate you volunteering.

Susan, watch the chest congestion. That will lead to this nasty unforgiving cough. For some reason, Lori declined lunch with me this week due to it. I explained my cough and she didn't think she wanted to be in public with me.

I will email Patty today to see if she wants to do the Christmas gift exchange. Maybe that will get her back on the board again.

I like Sandy's suggestion about drawing early. It takes me a while to come up with the "Perfect Gift" I like the extra time. I start Christmas shopping in January!

Barb: You can use points for some of the people in your party and pay cash for the others. DCL is more expensive than other cruise lines, but it depends on the the time of year you want to go. Summer is VERY expensive. You can always borrow points from the next use year.

I will be about 130 points short (Including borrowed ones) of our Oct Cruise. I wanted to use all the points and pay cash for the rest. Can I do that?? How??

Since we are staying at Disney World a week before we go on the cruise I wanted to stay in our Home resort. However I will not have any points. Can I do this??

Any idea if I am short 130 points for the cruise what kind of cash value that is so I know how much I will have to pay?

Sandy-I second the "Day at the Spa" idea. I love to go to the spa and have facials

You can still stay at your home resort, but you will have to pay cash if you don't have points. If you contact member services, they can usually give you a decent rate.
For the cruise, you have to pay points for 1 person and cash for everyone else. It depends on the category you choose and the time of year. The Magic in October of this year is 131 points per person for a category 11 inside stateroom. You have to use them for either the 1st or 2nd person in the cabin.
Your best bet would probably be to call member services. They will have all the current information.

Hi guys! Well, my day is about over. I am cooking dinner. I can't wait. I am having lutefisk. Yes, lutefisk is the one that was on Big Brother. It is cod. A Scandanavian version. Yummy. Not too many people like it due to the texture including my husband and kids. I am having ham for the rest of the family.

At least Jun won over Ali. They both need to go home and see the episodes. I think they will realize what kind of people they really are. I love the way the rest of the house guests blew them off. However, Jun and Ali dismissed it as the rest of them were jealous. Whatever!!
