Been busy with Stanley. Yes, our baby does require a lot of time and attention but it is well worth it. I'm taking doggie duty this weekend. Turner is going to a sleepover.

I SOOOOOOOO wish you all were going on the cruise with us in November. But, I am so glad a lot of you will be a WDW and maybe we will get a chance to see you all. I have cruise fever so bad. A transatlantic cruise sounds wonderful! My favorite part of the cruise is not the ports but the days at sea.

Paul and I have a party to go to this afternoon and evening so I won't be back on til later. Someone keep the thread alive!!

Love to all!
Later!

I got a bunch of perennials to put in my back yard. Now all we have to do is plant them. They were all half off.

I am getting my bookshelves Friday morning. I can't wait!!!

Julie: Jerry found a recipe for the Crystal Palace Puffy French Toast. He found it on a non DIS board. He can't get the DIS at work.

Hoping to get my cruise quote soon!

OK Jerry! Can you send it to me? Maybe if I try it and it works, we might have to do a brunch thing! What do you think?

Good Morning. Not a lot going on here. AWe have a cookout to go to this afternoon. We'll pick Turner up from his friend's house on the way.

Hope everyone is having a nice Labor Day weekend.

Later!

Pretty quite on the bb today....it is rainy and dark this morning....we are all set for out trip...have all the flights made and got really good rates....around $500 round trip total for both of us. Will be leaving Sept 22 and coming home Oct l5th. Then we will be looking at Nov. and leaving again Dec for Disneyworld with Barb. Where has this year gone??

Hi guys. Boy am I glad we aren't camping this weekend like a number of my friends. It's gloomy rainy. Which is AWESOME for Colorado landscape but yukky in a tent with kids.
Ben and I went to Evergreen to hear a friend's husband's band play last night. They were at a cool old place called The Little Bear. There are bra's hanging from the rafters over the stage which were thrown at the bands over the years. I knew about this place from my college days so I brought a bra that's all frilly-pretty, dark blue and while he was singing "You can leave your hat on" I tossed it up to him on the way to the dance floor. My girlfriend told me later that I had just "made his life". LOL After their show, he dutifully took it off his guitar and flung it up onto the rafters. He came and sat with us to see the second band (Opie gone bad) and he said that he'd been playing for so many years and never had a bra thrown. He felt complete now. Too funny. Ah, if we could just please every man so easily.

Susan, I am SO jealous! Turner is doing so well and you're not having to pry it out of him with a crow bar. Good for you and TURNER!!!

So many happy people with vacations going on & coming up, babies bringing joy, bodies getting healthy, the works. Life is good, huh?

OK, back to it. Take care everyone!
Lori

Back from dinner at our friends' house. We ended up with a cook-in rather than a cook-out. The rain came in buckets and the thunder and lightening were a little too fierce. We had a great time and homemade cheesecake for dessert. Her cheesecakes are to die for and she also gave me the recipe this time!!! Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow since we have a trememndous amount of yardwork planned for the day. I'll chat with you all again somtime tomorrow.

Love ya...and...Later!

Julie: I will put the recipe in the computer and send it to you. It is pretty simple. When do you want us for Brunch?

Sally: I wish we were going with you. Does your cruise go through the Panama Canal? I am guessing it does. We want to go there again very badly.

Sue: I love cheesecake. What kind was it? I have over 20 recipes for cheescake.

We did a lot of planting these last 2 days. We planted what we bought and went back for more yesterday. I am glad it is done because today it is raining.

Kaleigh is doing some major teething right now. I think she is getting her eye teeth and she is miserable. She's making everyone else miserable. I am giving her Tylenol. Motrin and oragel. I wish I could make her feel better.

Lori: I am sure you did make that guys day!

Denine: Yes, we are going to the Panama Canal....We have never been there but I heard it was nice. I wish you were going too.

I haven't planted anything now....I usually do put in mums and crocus bulbs but didn't feel good and now it is so rainy and cold. I had our fireplace on for the last two days.....we had one put in that you just push a switch on the wall...I love it!

I picked the carpet out I want and the wood floor for the kitchen but we have to put another banister in the living room first and are having trouble finding a carpenter....I did want it all done by the end of Sept but don't think we can do it now we are leaving for 3 weeks.

I am still coughing....6 weeks now....but getting better. Sure has been a long time since I felt good....it all started in May with my infected tooth....maybe the cruise will be just what I need.

Sally - I hope the sea air is just what you need to get better! I am so envious of you and your trip and I even have a cruise in 3 short months!!

Denine - the cheesecake was just a plain cheesecake. I'll try to get the recipe loaded and send it to you this week.

It has been so miserably hot and humid today. We worked in the yard for about half the day and then I went to the pool for a little over an hour. I just came in from washing the van and I am pooped!

Back to work and school tomorrow. But, I have tickets to the John Mayer and Counting Crows concert tomorrow night. I have a girlfriend planing to go with me. I won the tickets on a local radio staion and didn't even know what I was calling for. Turner always has me call in and I heard them say to be the 12th caller so I called. Turner wasn't even in the car that time!

Now, if only I could win the PowerBall!!!

Later!

Sally: You WILL feel better after a nice long cruise.

We need Julie's ark!!!!!! We have had an inch of rain so far with probably another inch coming, at least! What a truly miserable day!

Oh no...Bonnie's gone! Who is going to sing my praises now?! Oh well, she'll just have to double her efforts when she gets back to make up for the lost time!

Still raining off and on as of 5am. The nights are pretty cool now...a sure sign that summer's over. :( It figures that last year was one of the best summers weather-wise since I couldn't enjoy it while I was laid up with my knee.

Been looking at air fares...$287 to get to Orlando in December. Ouch! Then they wonder why nobody is flying!

Well, back to work...hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning!

Garry - I'm sure Bonnie is constantly thinking about you since you are the greatest man on earth today. (This sounds like something Bonnie would say. I don't know why. I wonder if blackmail was involved in any way!) I juts wanted you to know that I'm sure she is thinking about you while she is with Glenn!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday and that the weather gets better!

Later!

Gary did you try:

lastminutetravel.com

That is where we got our tickets from Colo Springs to San Diego for $l36 on Delta and from Orlando to Denver for $ll2.l8 on Frontier.

Good Morning!!

Happy first day of work after Labor DAY!!

I know I for one am sososos glad to be back at work.

Someone has all ready called in sick so once again there are only 2 of us here handling the work load of 6.

We met Leah (our intern) over the weekend. She is so sweet I am really looking forward to this year. Her family is wonderful. They are in the process of moving here and have bought a home about 1/4 of a mile from us. Leah will still stay in our home because the intern's can not stay with their families. Her family and us got along great. We made dinner together last night and had a really good time.

Garry I think that even though Bonnie has chosen to take a vacation she should still be posting!! What is she thinking just leaving you hanging with no praises!! I sure hope she gets her priorities straight is she decides to run off and visit Glen again!

Barb:smooth:

Summer is officialy over. Crappy, rainy, cold weather has returned. Yesterday was a total wash out. I tried to make myself happy last night by checking out stuff on e-bay. I really wanted a DCL pin. There were no bids and I find out this morning I was outbid. There ended up being 8 bids. There is another pin out there, it has a higher starting bid price, but I don't know what I should do. Also looking for halloween costumes for me & Jerry. They are so expensive. I don't know if I can justify the price, even to be Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Nothing else going on here.

Hi guys, camping season is over for us. It was a very dark and dreary weekend. Of course, as we were packing to go the sun came out bright. It wasn't all that bad, it was misty and cloudy the whole time but the heavy rain and thunder and lightning was during the night. Barb and Sally, was thinking of you. We went shopping at Kohl's in the Springs for the sale. Nothing else to do in that weather!!!

Our little Bonnie is gone. Hope she is having a good time. Poor Garry is lost without her. I, too, really think there is some blackmail going on or at least I missed something.

Sounds like the intern thing will go fantastic Barb.

Denine, I would love the recipe also. I was just saying yesterday that I was hungry for French toast. Something new and different would be terrific.

Susan, I noticed your countdown clock and turned green with envy. I knew onboard that you booked and I remember my response. We have been on 3 Disney cruises and we would like to try something different. Yeah, right. Who was I kidding???? I have never made cheesecake. Isn't it suppose to be hard?

Lori, you kill me. I can just picture you at Little Bear. It has been a very, very long time since I have been there. (Don't tell Ted but an old flame lived in Evergreen) No, really he WAS Ted's best friend. Glad you had a good time.

My babysitting has gotten easier. I will have Graci for Tues and Thurs but now Noah is in PreK. I will only have him from 2:30 - 6:00 on Tues and on Thurs I will drop him off at school at 8:30 am and I will pick him up at school and deliver him to his mom's work a couple of blocks from school. Not bad. I think that I will go out and look for a real job after Graci starts school. Would love to work in an atty's office. I am computer illiterate so am not sure who would hire me. I don't think that the courts or the DA's office would take me back at this age. Who knows????? I have not had a real job for 23 years. I quit to be a mom.

Gotta go. I hear Graci. Bye and love to all.

Sandy-You were so close to my house when you were at Kohls you could practically see it!! Right across the street from Kohl off Powers is a golf course right behind the golf course is my house!
Next time you shop at Kohl's come on over!!

I am still hoping to have a get together with You and Ted, Lori and Ben and my Mom and Dad before the summer is over. Or at least before the weather turns. Once the wedding is behind you don't forget I get you next!!

Any other cruisers that might be thinking of traveling to Colorado at that time are invited too!!!

Barb:smooth:

Hi Barb, I always think about calling you when I am in the Springs but never have your number. I should just carry it with me. I looked at people wondering if I could run into you or Sally. Last time I was at Walmart you or Sally (can't remember which one) was there too. My SIL grew up in that part of town before it developed up that much. I could never drive to Kohl's again as we came in the back way. He did the driving. I25 was a disaster both ways from Monument on Saturday. I think the Air Force probably had a football game. They always do around this time. I am going to go to Gessipes Train Depot restaurant sometime. We went there on our honeymoon and I want to go back so bad. Have you ever been?

Big Brother tonight, Susan and Julie. I think the one I want to win is Erica. I WANT ALLISON OFF. I can't stand her. I bet her boyfriend will not be with her after the show. She is just not comng across as a very nice person. And what a mouth she has!

Goodnight and sleep tight.

Hi everyone! Been busy doing nothing, can you believe that. I have been reading the boards!

Sandy, I agree with you about Allison! I have NEVER liked her. After the stuff she pulled with Nathan, the more I grew to dislike her. I liked Jack and Erika from the start. So let's hope that Erika can pull it off. If Allison gets to the final two, there is NO WAY that the housemates will vote for her. She is a sleeze!

Denine, thank you thank you for the recipe! I will try it out very soon. I have a Mickey recipe book from all around the "world" but the french toast recipe isn't the puffy french toast from the Crystal Palace. I sure hope this is the one! Yummy!

Susan, so how is Lord Stanley doing? We need more updates!

Barb, Garry loved your compliments! He said that he is glad that FINALLY people have figured out that is a "god"! LOL!!!
