We are heading out of town up to Door County (aka Paradise) today. It is in the northern Wisconsin thumb that sticks out into Lake Michigan. We head up there almost every year for the 4th of July. Lots of time to relax and be at the pool. Kind of like a Disney Cruise ---- if you know what I mean!! We will be back late Saturday night and I will fill you all in when we get home!!

Bread Machine: Worked really well. The easiest loaf of homemade bread. I am going to make some bread for Friday when our friends come over. But, don't worry Sue, I won't blow my diet on bread.

We received our Christmas Party tickets in the mail yesterday for December 4th!!

Only 2 more days of work before a 3 day weekend. Yeah.

We are going camping in August with our church friends. I am a little scared because I have not been camping in lots of years. Gotta get an air mattress! Should be a fun time.

today Legally Blond comes out. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Remnants of Bill across our area today. Periods of off and on rain - as if we haven't had our share this year.

I have dinner in the oven and Turner is outside playing during an off period of the rain. One more work day this week and then a 3 day weekend, yippeee!! We have no big plans just some time at the pool and time with family. May make it to the movies. I want to see Legally Blond 2 and Sinbad.

May have to start a new book for reading by the pool. So, I may have to go to the library tomorrow.

Barb, glad to be an inspiration to you but I don't feel like I have it all together! I always seem to be juggling so much and the balls are about to hit the ground. As long as I catch them before they actually hit the ground, I guess it is ok.

Lori - don't yell so loudly. Half way across the country is not that far!!

I have a chicken on the rotisserie and veggies heating up. I didn't weigh in this week because my Weight Watchers at work has a break between now and July 16th. I could go weigh in at a different meeting location but I am going to just try to be real good and have a huge loss in 3 weeks!!! At least, taht's the plan.

The weather has improved dramatically. The sky is so blue - the smog even cleared out. Just the kind of weather we need for a 3 day weekend.

I'll be in and out posting this weekend. If anyone else is there, check in and post so I won't be alone. I hope those of you working this weekend have a ittle break in there for some fun.

Worked the fourth of July but it really wasn't too bad. I watched the fireworks on TV & thought the Boston Pops with the fireworks was fantastic. Philly left a little bit to be desired.

Have you all taken advantage of the bargains at the Disney Stores? Our stores in NJ have 50-75% off everything. Rumor has it that they are going to bring back the clothes. If they bring back the clothes they need to bring back the quality too.

I can't wait for vacation. Next week we are going to Atlantic City for two nights (my son got two free nights at Showboat Casino). It will be a nice little break. The week vacation starts on 7/20/03 to Nags Head, North Carolina. I need a break!

Off to the pool when it opens at 12 noon. Hope you all have a great weekend. Toodles JEANNE

Good morning!

Hope everyone had a great 4th. Work wasn't too bad in the morning. We had a nice barbecue with our friends. Got the chicken off the grill in the nick of time. The rain really started coming down. We didn't go see any fireworks, didn't need to. I think everyone in our neighborhod was setting them off last night. It is cloudy today with a chance of t-storms. Going visiting again tonight.

Jerry finds out tomorrow night if he has to report for jury duty Monday morning.

Bought the stuff to do the deck when the weather and time permits.

Hi all, same ol stuff here. Called in to work 8.5 hours yesterday and so far 6 today. Money, money Missed out on the neighborhood picnic, but it was so hot out, I'm glad I was being paid to be in air conditioning instead. We went to a Rockies game Thursday and saw great fireworks afterwards. None during the game, that's for sure.
Heard from a little girl that had we foster-cared for, for two and a half years. I wanted to keep her, so did all of her family members (if only they could have stayed out of jail, etc ) She's going to be 16 in October and has decided that the first place she will drive to is my house. Yikes. (I'm not old, I'm not old) I can't believe she's driving! She was 12 when we got her and we've stayed in touch, but I guess I just kept thinking of her as that same sweet little girl.
Isn't it weird how kids can grow up yet WE stay exactly the same???
