Hi guys. Gosh, before leaving I thought about posting my observation that everyone was healthy at the same time, then thought better of it since it would seem like a jinx if someone came up sick. Well, shoot, it happened anyway! Barb, I hope Bob gets completely better very, very soon! Sally and Bonnie, fell well! Jeanne, plan a visit to your daughter soon. (With that extra time you have during the strike)
The campout weekend was great. Lots of really great people in one place (sort of like our secret verandah wine party!) I had a blast riding the bike Fri and Sunday. (My Mom made a no machines rule for Saturday which was fine.) Lots of non-campers came just for the Saturday events, so it was pretty busy. Yesterday after getting the tent and stuff all packed up I was riding pretty seriously, trying out some new techniques that the "Big dogs" were teaching me. I learned to do a tight corner while putting my weight almost all the way on the front tire. Then I learned not to downshift right in the middle of doing it downhill. LOL They gave me a 9.5 for the style of the flight ... I'm pretty lucky not to have landed in cactus! This morning the only part of me still really sore was my shoulder, so I had the girls do an MRI on it. Dang, I seperated my AC joint. No wonder it hurts. I got an orthopedic Dr. friend to look at the films and poke at me this afternoon and he said it will be healed up on it's own in about 7 weeks. Pretty lucky that I had the helmet on. I really snapped me head back hard, it left me neck muscels sore. Lucky, Lucky. AND It was still so fun it was totally worth it!
Back to the housework life for a few days. <yawwwn>
Later all, Lori
