Sorry Julie!! We were up north yesterday helping John's aunt with her computer. We drove up and back the same day. The weather was fantastic so it made the drive very relaxing.

Only one problem......we were driving back through thru the Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Preserve at dusk and we thought that it had started to rain, but we couldn't quite figure it out since there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We had to use the wipers on high speed and even had to pull over since there was so much "rain" hitting the windshield.....almost like sleet.......we finally got the windshield clean and when we got home it was 10:30 and we didn't notice anything strange. The mystery was solved this morning when I saw the condition of the front nose of my car..... IT WAS SOOOOO DISGUSTING!!!!!

We must have driven thru a cloud of baby dragon flies because you couldn't even read my license plate number!!! LOL!!!! It was like driving through "A BUGS LIFE" Nightmare!!!

It took 3 times through the car wash to get it off.......so much for my excitement this weekend!!!

We're home and had a fabulous time in Atlanta. Turner and his friend had the best time. After the game they got to run around the bases. So, Turner ran the bases at Turner Field on his 9th birthday. I guess that's a good memory to preserve!!

We missed the race traffic in Charlotte!! Sounds like it was a pretty bad scene here. We have had 9 inches of rain since Wednesday and they lost 30% of the parking due to the soggy fields. I can't imagine what they did with 30% of the cars!! We heard on the radio that they were parking some of the cars on the sides of the roads. The race was called a little over half way becasue they had rain again this evening. We now have the helicopters flying back and forth from the airport to the race track over our house. That will go on for another hour or so.

Enough from me for tonight. I'm ready for bed. Julie, Garry and Laurie - you guys did a great job keeping the thread alive today!!

Laurie, sounds like a "fun" time cleaning your car.

Our cars get covered with bugs usually when we come home from Cedar Point. For those of you who don't know what Cedar Point is, it is an amusement park with 16 roller coasters! The new one this year is 420ft high and goes 0 to 120mph in seconds! Looks great on tv. Hopefully we will get a chance to get there this summer. It is only aobut an hour away from our house, so it isn't to bad. Hey maybe we could have a reunion for all your coaster fans!

I'm glad to see that everything is ok with you Laurie! I was worried that something was wrong since you said you would be around this weekend. Glad to see it was a family trip to see relatives!!

Susan, glad Turner's day was awesome!! We looked for you guys on tv, but surprise...... couldn't spot you! Turner ran the bases at Turner field...... are you sure he didn't "walk" them (sleepwalk that is)? LOL!!!

Yuck!!! Bugs and lots of them!! That sounds nasty, Laurie. I'm glad I didn't have to clean that car!

Julie, Cedar Point sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been but it sounds like you have enough roller coasters!

It's wet here again this morning. The rain is supposed to clear out this morning sometime. I hope so, I have a few things in the yard I wanted to get done today.

So, when will eveyone be coming home?

I didn't have a message on the answering machine from Denine so I am hoping they will be coming through this afternoon. Maybe I still have a chance to see them.

The rain has stopped but is sure is humid. We went to a matinee movie and saw Bruce Almighty. Not the best movie nor was it the worst movie I have ever seen. But it was a good no brainer.

I am off to Home Depot to pick up a few things for the garden. I'll be back on later.

Happy Memorial Day everyone! We actually had a nice weather day here. Took the two little ones up to the parade to see daddy in his police car! Boy do they love their daddy! Garry got home as expected at 12:30pm. He went in at 11pm last night. He had a wild night! Maybe if he gets a chance he can explain it. Sure do give him alot of credit! I don't think I could ever do what he does!

Our computers are in our bedroom and since Garry didn't get home until this afternoon, it was alittle hard getting to the computers. BUT I am here now and that is all that counts!

You are right, you posted quite a bit yesterday. I should have remembered the computer is in the bedroom and Garry would need to sleep. This will probably be my last post for the day since I have to get Turner off to bed since he has school tomorrow. I also have to go back to work so I need to get to bed early too.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

Today Kristen and I marched with all of the Girl Scout Troops at our school in the Memorial Day Parade. Once again the weather was beautiful. 70 and sunny !!! John left early this morning and went golfing all day. It was his first time out this season. He has been having problems with his elbow, but got a cortisone shot last week and he was good enough to play today. Hopefully he won't be hurting tomorrow.

Back to work tomorrow.....

Graduation is over. Jaymee is now officially out of high school!!

Hope everyone had a safe weekend. It was a very emotional weekend for me. I decided when Tiffany graduates in May of 2006 I am going on a cruise the day after! I can't handle the depression.
