Katie went thru and looked at all of the Birthday wishes and wanted to say... Thank you everyone!
The luau was a success. They were so cute running thru the house in the grass skirts/outfits. A bunch of cute giggling girls. Boy do those skirts shed! I can tell every room and flight of stairs they were on.
Time to get back to house work. Ben wanted to know why this was more important than laundry. The stick in the mud!
Happy Easter everyone. Oh, that reminds me, I'd better get busy in the kitchen too. My Mom's having it at her house this year. 40 people! Pray for good weather as the 17 kids will need the backyard.

Oh Denine!! So sorry to hear that. Can you call the court directly and change the date? Explain the situation and maybe coming from you rather than the SW you will get someone sympathetic to your situation.

Lori: So happy to hear the party was a success! You could have borrowed my son's cocconut bra and grass skirt to fit right in if I lived closer! LOL!

Oh Denioe!!!! My heart goes out to you. I am sure that this will all work out. It will be one of those things that you will be be able to look back on and think, Boy I am glad that all of that is behind us! Just think how much all of this frustration is worth .

Try not to think about it and have a good weekend.....you can't do anything about it until Monday.....and THEN it will all work out!

Julie and her clipart are back!!!!
Well....One week from today I will be in Chicago on my way to San Francisco!!!! I am so excited I can't stand it!!! It is really happening! My aunt in California bought City Passes for both Glenn and me and they arrived yesterday!!! What a wonderful gift!

Had dinner with mom yesterday. That was our Easter dinner. Staying home to clean the house today since my neighbor will be in to take care of Perditta while I'm gone.

Have a blessed Easter all. I hope the Easter bunny brought lots of candy and such! Don't eat it all at once! LOL!

Back from early Easter mass and breakfast. We have a damp, foggy Easter Day here. Heading to my sister's house later this afternoon for family dinner.

We had a good time at our friends house yesterday. Ed works for Matt Kenseth's race team. They just finished filming a new commercial for Smirnoff Ice Black Label. Ed told us that the commercial has Matt drive up in his race car to a house and gets out of the car with a six pack. As he enters the house, the pit crew (including Ed), jump over the bushes and remove the tires and steering wheel from the race car. The premise behind the commercial is to drink responsibly. He said it was pretty fun making the commercial. He said they are shipping him 10 cases of Smirnoff Ice Black Label. I tried it last night. It really didn't taste like a malt beverage. I actually liked it.

We played Disney Charades, Blurt, and Survivor last night. The kids had a great time and so did the adults. I'm also happy to say I didn't overeat.

HAPPY EASTER everyone! Great clip art from all. A beautiful day ahead. Dinner here. We smoked a turkey yesterday so all we really have to do is the side dishes.

Bryan is home and causing a few problems with Heidi's heart. She was doing so good and now he is home for Easter and he called her. He is sooooo cold. Easter was one Holiday they had "traditions" with his family so it is extremely hard for her being left out. I must admit that I am having troubles again myself. Will this ever end?????????

All packed except essentials....of course will probably pack and repack 5 times before Saturday.

Good morning, I think. We had an incredibly busy and exhausting weekend. I am so tired and my back is killing me. Kaleigh was very much over stimulated and is being a real crab! I just can't carry her around like she feels she needs. My back hurts too much.

I haven't heard anything from the SW yet, but it isn't even 10 AM. I still may call and leave another message. She knew from the beginning that we had a trip to WDW planned. We booked it last August. That is why she requested a date for before May 17th. I wouldn't even know who to call at the court to do it myself. I just hope it works out.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect for Easter. We get a truly nice every few years, but it has to be at the end of April to have a chance.

I'll check in if and when I hear something.

OK - I over did it with the eating yesterday especially with the desserts. I had strawberry shortcake and black walnut pound cake. Gotta get some exercise in today. Calling for more rain again today. Maybe I'll make it to the gym today. We had a good time at my sister's house.

We watched The Ten Commandments last night. Turner fell asleep a little over half way through it. He is bummed out that he missed the whole thing. I told him we'd try to see if we could rent it so he could watch the rest.

I am going to go into the office for one day this week and that will be tomorrow. Turner is out of school all week.

Sandy - I hope Heidi can stay strong while Bryan pulls at her emotions. You, too!

Denine - let us know if you are able to get the court date worked out. Thinking about you!!

Ballet Bonnie - Don't forget the advil!!LOL

Denine, I am sorry that you haven't been able to work out the court date yet. I know with my court background that you personally couldn't change the date here in Colorado and would assume the same in Ohio. More than likely it will take your SW to do it. Sorry! To me she is being very irresponsible. Pixie dust your way!

Susan, one day will not kill you. Just watch your diet the remainder of the week and drink lots and lots of water to make up for it. I haven't weighed in for probably 2 weeks because of my emotional roller coaster. I will try and get better. It was just to hard to worry about that and keep my emotions in tack.

Bonnie, had fun talking to you yesterday! I think that you should have invited all of us to SF. What's up with that?????

I always pass on the words of encouragement and advice to Heidi. She seems to listen to you guys and I think that is because you guys are impartial. Last night Bonnie told her to tell him NOT to call anymore. I have tried that but she is not ready to listen to "mom". But if Bonnie says it then it is good advice. Go figure. Unfortunately he is to call tomorrow night. I pray that she is strong enough to do it.

Graduation announcements came in the mail today so we as a family have another project to get done and SOON! We need to create an insert for the "Open House" before we can send them out.

Stacey's fiance (got it right this time Bonnie) got us two new bedroom doors to put up. We bought another two and he will help Ted get them in on Saturday. We have the old wood stained doors. These are the 6 panel white doors. My house is so looking better and brighter. He is also going to retexture some of the walls. Wow, what an assest to us to have him around!!!! He is a Warranty Supervisor for a major construction firm so he knows his stuff.

Gotta go do yucky laundry and sweep the kitchen. Love to all.

One more thing.......we watch an hour long show on DCL on the Travel Channel this weekend. It was soooooo good. We actually learned a lot. If I knew that is was NEW and that good I would have taped it. It even told the secret behind Animators Palate. That was really interesting. Never would have guessed.

We got our new court date!!!!!! Our SW called early this afternoon. It is May 16th at 9 AM. Kaleigh will be legally ours when we leave on our trip the next day. Our SW didn't find out about the screw-up until she came into the office this morning. She received her letter from the court and my 2 messages. She said they obviously didn't pay any attention to the note about scheduling the date before the 17th. At least we are getting it before vacation! Thanks guys!

Sandy: If Bryan keeps getting Heidi upset, then she needs to tell him not to call anymore. He isn't worth it.

Sue: Easter week at Jerry's parents house is "Old Bible Guy" week. Jerry's dad goes to town with those movies. I personally don't like any of them. Jerry and his brother named the week.

I am proud of myself and they way I ate this weekend. We had dinner at my friends house on Saturday and then Easter dinner at Jerry's parents. I only had chocolate birthday cake on Saturday, no other dessert. We will find how how it really went on Wednesday. As long as I don't gain, I will be happy.

I hope tomorrow is a better day. I ended up having Jerry come home early. I just couldn't do it with my back. It is a 2 vioxx day. Kaleigh is still a crab. I don't know if she has a little tummy virus or what, she had 1 episode of diarrhea. That is a first. Today was the 1st day since Friday that she had any solid food, so it isn't too much of anything. I'll just keep an eye on her.

GREAT NEWS DENINE !!!!!!!!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter. I had my family for lunch after church. Everyone left by 3:30 and we were able to put up our feet and relax!! I took off the day today and we went for a long ride in the country to one of our favorite farmers markets.

Back to work tomorrow......

Hello to all, long time no chat, huh?!

Things have been crazy here, but first things first.
Happy Belateds to all out there (Jeanne, Katie, Mom and Dad, etc.)
Hope Turner's wrist is getting better by the day.
Congrats to Denine and Jerry and especially little Kaleigh!!
And to all who have been wondering where I have been, Thank You!!

Boston was fun, got to see old friends, but David was called back to work one day early, so had to spend last night and fly home by myself. This has happened 3 times now when we have been away, at least I didn't have Clare this time.

My Rhythm and Brews fundraiser is 1 1/2 weeks away. EEEEEKKK!!!. Can't believe it is already here, but you know what that means...St. Thomas is also just 1 1/2 weeks away. I can't believe I am actually leaving the day after my huge 750 person event. Oh well, that's what co-chairs are for, huh?!

My health is improving daily. They found that my main problem right now is that my insulin is turning everything I eat into fat. Yuck!! My doc said that if I didn't know how to eat right and exercise I would be 20-25 # heavier right now and a full-blown diabetic. Isn't that cheery?! I am taking glucophage (for all you nurses and wannabes out there) twice daily, and I think I can see a difference. I go to weigh tomorrow at the gym and will let you all know.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and concerns, and it looks like I am definitely in on the weight loss routine. Want to lose 20-25. Sounds impossible right now, but hopefully my meds will help.

First my vent - I am sick of the pop up S@&%!!! I just typed my post and opened anothe rwindow to get some clipart and the popups beagn and as I was closing them, I closed my window with my DIS board!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT WITH ALL THE UNWANTED POP UPS!!!

I worked out for an hour this evening at the gym. Gotta get rid of some of the extra calories I added yesterday and today. I had a hamburger and fries for lunch today!!
