Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

I have never spent so much time in AC!!!! I don't care if I never see it again. Today I walked the boards with Olivia bundled up in the stroller...Of course she slept the whole time. Finally got the swing of changing a hungry baby and then feeding. I am still the worlds best baby consoller though! My DIL actually wanted to take me home with her! I have some sort of magic touch with babies. Pediatrics used to had over all the fussy ones whenever I went on the floor...I always quieted them down.

Glad to have my home back though. Left Olivia with me downstairs last night and I did not sleep a wink until my DIL took her upstairs after the 3:30-3AM feeding. I am EXHAUSTED!!! No wonder God does not give babies to 47 yr old women!!!

I will chill the rest of the day...what's left of it anyway.

Rain Rain go away!!! I think they said that 18 of the last 20 or 24 weekends have been rainy.

Bonnie had time with Olivia and I had time with Dominic. I just got back from holding him and feeding him. I held him for about 2 1/2 hours. He is still so tiny and never cried!! Turner even held him for a few minutes.

Now I am back home and the sun is out and it is very warm. I am grilling london broil for dinner and we are having fresh corn on the cob and baked potatoes. Thankfully, the rain has left for a few days!

Hope the Adoption party was great.

Thanks Susan! Just thinking of all you as we are watching a show on Food Network. It is "Unwrapped, Disney World Resort". It is pretty good. Next will be "Unwrapped, Best of Amusement Parks" with WDW as one of them. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight!

Sorry I haven't been around. John has been out of town since last Thursday morning and doesn't get home until Monday night. He went on a "Bachelor Party Weekend". I took off of work Friday and Monday, and I have been busy helping my Mom with things and out at John's parents taking care of his dad.

Kristen is finally done with school!! Yahoo!!! No more homework for a while. I just have to motivate her to keep reading over the summer.

Sandy -- I taped the Unwrapped Special on FoodTV and I will be watching it later........we just can't get enough of Disney can we??

Hi everyone! It is Julie again under Garry's name. Didn't get the new monitor yet so I have to use his. Kaleigh's party was wonderful! Garry lost the flip of the coin and had to stay home with the Big Guy. The Big Guy wasn't feeling very well and I didn't think that he should be around other little ones. Makenzie was in her element with Jerry. That is all I heard the rest of the night was...... I like Jerry, we go to Jerry's house again?..........Is Jerry coming over?...... Can I go see me best friend Jerry?.... Can you tell she likes Jerry? I believe when she was hanging on their front door when I said it was time to go was a good hint! LOL!

Bonnie glad you made it home safe. I'm glad to see that your DIL wanted to keep you when it was time to leave. I hope that she will realize what a Great PERSON you are and that you would be a wonderful influence on Olivia.

Sandy, I watched (and taped it for Garry) the Disney dining on the food network tonight too! Boy did I really want to be there!! I can't wait til next week when we will be there!!!!!!!!!! We keep picking times to leave and we have already gained a day in Disney because we decided to leave a day early. I will have MAJOR DIS board withdrawls! I will take everyone's email and see if we can send you a email from EPCOT! WAY TO GO on the weight loss! You go girl!

Susan, you could have asked us over for dinner! LOL!!! It sounded so good! We will take your number too and give you a call if it isn't at some strange hour!

Laurie, we have missed you on the board lately but glad you told us wht you have been up to! Glad to see you are doing well and tell Kristen YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! from me about school being out!

I wish I was going with you. Stress at work... too much work and too many people not doing their jobs. I wish I had my Sup cube built already so I could pull a few in to have a little "talk"

Woke up stiff and achy this morning...must have been all the walking and sitting on the floor, sleeping on the couch etc...I am too old for this!

I wanted to say Good Morning to All & Happy Monday.

Booked our room in December. Joyce said she would like to stay at The Dolphin again but I couldn't get the $129.00 rate initially but then went on this AM & saw I could get the room for $129.00. So we are booked from 11/29/03-12/5/03 at The Dolphin. We love the location & it is alot more reasonable then Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach. I can't wait!

Still no sun but I am hopeful .

Hello all. Yes the party did go well. It was sunny up until 3PM when the party was and the rains came and didn't stop. It wasn't supposed to rain yesterday. The cake said "When you wish upon a star". They tinted the frosting a dark blue ( not navy) and put little stars all over it and sparkling sanding sugar for pixie dust. It really looked nice. Everyone came except the ones I figured wouldn't come. And, yes, Makenzie really was hanging onto the front door so she wouldn't have to leave. Hope the Big Guy is feeling better today.

Watched "Unwrapped" last night. We both kept wishing we were there, even though we just got back. Please take me with you, Julie!!!!!

Sue: London Broil sounds good. Were having hamburgers tonight.

Sandy: Yeah on the weight loss. I hated making favors for our wedding. I was glad when they were done.

I forgot to tell you all about Pal Mickey. As a DVC member, you get a certificate at check-in for a 1-day free rental. So, we did. He was cute. We took him to Epcot with us and he told us little facts about where we were. He giggles and shakes when he has something to say and then you press his belly to hear. I would like to hear what he has to say in the MK. I think he would probably talk more. He only told us about 1 upcomng show and never said anything about character appearances, even though the paper that came with him said he does. I don't know. He is $8 for a 1-day rental, $50 to buy and various prices in between for multi-day rentals.

Jerry didn't start jury duty today. He called the number last night and it has been put off until July 7. Again, he has to call the night before to find out if he is to show up. What a pain. He was hoping to go today, one, to get it over with and two, to get out of work. He just got back from vacation and already it is driving him crazy.

Denine, thank you so much for a picture of your princess. Her eyes and smile are so precious. Heidi was here for the unveiling and ohhhhhed right with me.

Glad that you got into the Dolphine Jeanne as I know you really like being there. You will really have a good time. Wish we could be there to harrass (oops, I mean see) you.

Laurie, missed you. Glad to see a post. Been wanting to call you to chat but have been so busy.

If there isn't a line at Epcot, we just keep sending different pics to different emails. That's half the fun to see the different poses. Can you tell back in my days I loved the quarter photo booth?

Just wanted to check in before Ted comes home for dinner. Shoot, gotta cook today. What's wrong with that picture?????

Sandy, I took your advice today and did something for me after work. I had to be brave to do it!! It was in the mid 80s so after work, I went to the pool and took a deep water aerobics class. The water was chilly but the class was great! I'm going to try to do it on Mndays and Wednesdays weather permitting. You can sure feel it when you get out of the pool. The good thing about the class is that I can do it and Turner can be swimming in the other part of the pool and he has friends to play with. For an added bonus, dinner consisted of cereal and skim milk! Weather is supposed to be great again tomorrow but the class is ealier on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I'll never make it on time.

Gotta go watch the last hockey game of the season.

Way to go, Susan!! I am proud of you. I love anything to do with water and that sounds wonderful. Let us know what you think after a few times. I use to swim 3 times a week but it was real hard to work into my schedule plus I found it hard to lose pounds. I know, I know, muscle weighs more than fat but pounds mean so much to me for charting my progress.

Hi all! It's still me Julie! Didn't go get the new monitor today because I didn't want to take the Big Guy out yet. He is feeling better, but I didn't want to run him all over and get him too tired. We all must be healthy for Monday. I am getting very excited! Of course I haven't packed anything yet. It will all get packed on friday when Anna Marie is here and she can run interference for me with the two little ones.

All are welcome to come with us! It might be alittle tight in the room, but who said cozy isn't nice?

Yeah Jeanne and Joyce! We have stayed at the Dolphin a few times and we like it there too. I checked our ressies for Dec and we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas. So we will be in the same neighborhood. Maybe we can go down to the ESPN bar and have a beer and watch football monday night! LOL! We found out that the Browns have finally got a Monday night game when we got our season ticket info. AND YOU GOT IT...... it will be when we are down in Disney! Oh well, I'm sure there will be more in the future.

Bonnie, I hope that work will settle down for you soon. I know that it can be rough. Hopefully we can chat again soon!

Sandy, way to go on the weight loss. Keep it up! So Curves is doing the job?

Barb, thanks for the concerns about the Big Guy. I'm sure hw will be better tomorrow. It is suppose to be in the 80's here tomorrow.

HEY, I actually got a call from Disney today! I emailed them that I was upset about the hours at EPCOT and MK. Last year they closed future world at 7pm. This year they are closing it at 6pm! Now when most children are out of school and familes make their summer vacations this month and next. MK was closing at 8pm but they have changed that to at least 9pm. I remember when it would stay open unitl 11pm. Boy they are crying poor us but still manage to up the ticket prices! I also chatted to him about why they would close POOH for the month of May and June when it is one of the most popular rides at MK. Everytime we have walked by there is always a 35 min or more wait. I know in Sept and early Oct the crowds are "lighter" then the summer months, and why wouldn't they do it then. After a 25min chat with him, he took down all our concerns and told me he would forward them to the board and keep me posted. He also told me to email him after we get back with our observations. Basically he was just the "company"man who told me why they did what they did. And that times of the parks can and would change if the crowds so ordered it. (like I didn't know that before! DUH!!) He did tell me that Mickey's Philharmonic(sp) at MK looks like it will be opening when we are there. He also said there might be a soft opening before the soft opening before the grand opening of Mission Space and we should check with the people at Mission Space when we get to the park and they MIGHT let us test ride it! He said they like to use cast members and "park regulars" as test dummies! We shall see!

Went to bed at 9PM last night...asleep by 9:30! Feel so much better today! I am starting to feel human again!

Sue....water aerobics sounds like great fun! Is the pool heated though? There is no way we could go swimming here yet. It was beautiful here yesterday but with all the rain and cold we have had no time for the pool to heat up.

Julie...I hope we get to chat before you leave for WDW but I don't hold much hope for it. Saturday I leave for Chicago for the weekend. I still have to pack also. I hope you have a great time. Glad to hear the big guy is feeling better.


No cable here...so didn't get to watch unwrapped. It sounds like it was great.

Denine....did you email pictures and forget me???? I didn't get any taken of Olivia this weekend. She is still a little peanut but alert and tracking when Ryan walks into the room....she already has him wrapped around his little finger!

Quick post then have to go dry my hair and get ready for work.

The pool is not heated. It was cool when I first got in but before long you work so hard you aren't cold anymore. During the coold down, you do start feeling the water temp again. But, by August, we'll be complaining that the water feels like bath water. This was our first visit to the pool this year. IMO it has not been warm enough until yesterday but the pool opened mid May! Usually we have been in the 90s off and on by Memorial Day but not this year.

Julie - I wish I was going with you. I need a Mickey fix!

Good Morning Everyone!

Time for my daily post. I read the board all day long but only post in the morning.

I am still kind of bummed that I planned our next Disney vacation around New Years and we will miss Mickey's Very Merry Christmas and the great Military prices that expire Dec 19. With the kids in school and Tiffany's state cheer competition there is no way I can change my plans. Oh well at least we will be going to Disney!!

Glad to hear The Big Guy is doing better.

Susan you are doing great with sticking to the weight loss thing. Wish we lived closer together so you could encourage me!

Good morning everyone. A bright and cheery day here. The sun is shining and a cool morning. Sure wish I could bottle it. It is perfect. Even the birds are happy.

Good morning! It is a beautiful day, sunny and it is supposed to get to 80 degrees. Yeah!!!!!

Kaleigh was a crab yesterday because there was no one to entertain her. She seems better today which is good because we have to go to calling hours for a woman that is technically Jerry's grandmother. She is his dad's mom, but they had a falling out eons ago and he was basically raised by his dad and grandmother. Jerry never "knew" his grandmother. She came to our wedding shower, but that is the only time I remember seeing her, a couple of Christmas cards over the years, but that is it. He has no feelings for her.

Kaleigh is up to 3 meals a day and also eating Cheerios for a snack. She sits up really well, but shows no interest in locomotion. Gives us more time to buy baby gates.

Finding Nemo is up at the drive-in this week. We hope to put Kaleigh in her jammies and go since it is past her bed-time. I really want to see this movie.

Julie: Sounds like you had a nice chat with the guy from WDW. We are supposed to get a call some time from an e-mail that I sent because of the stupid security measures. Jerry said that they still mention ATT on Spaceship Earth, but that they changed the beginning. I guess I wasn't paying much attention.

Sue: I won't swimmin cold water. I like bath tub temps. Our friends in Florida that we visited have their pool heated with solar panels. It was a really nice temperature. My dad has been doing watercise for years. It is probably the only thing that has allowed him to remain mobile with his MS.

Barb: You should still have a lot of fun over New Years, don't fret!

I'm Baaaaaaaaacccccccccckkkkkkkkkk! Boy does it feel good to be back posting under me again! New monitor works well. Nothing too exciting here, the weather was suppose to be nice today but has been cloudy all day. Didn't make it up to 80 like the news was reporting. Oh well, it will be warm enough for me next week!
