Here is the latest on Paula and hopefully never to heard from again. Everyone have a safe trip to PC. We are leaving on 4pm on Friday on the same plane to Orlando as MyLittlePrincess. We will be one of the last ones there so say hi to the Magic for us. Take care everyone

Okay, it is my turn to say goodbye for now!
My last day at work is over (won't be back there until November 9th, woohoo! ), everything is ready, the house is clean (-ish ), the cats will be looked after, and we have checked in our suitcases at the airport already a few hours ago. Now I am off to bed, and at 8.30 tomorrow morning the cab will come to take us back to the airport.

Everything has been so incredibly stressful and hectic these past few weeks and days that I am still in a daze, I can hardly believe it's really all happening finally! (Actually, I started believing it when the Lufthansa agent checking us in looked at her computer and said "Okay, so you are flying - via Frankfurt - to Orlando tomorrow". The words "Orlando tomorrow" resounded in my head, and a first blissful smile started spreading on my face )

Safe travels to all of you, and I am so much looking forward to meeting you all (and my best new friend of all, the Disney Magic ) soon!

Well all I got the job!!!! They money stinks right now but should improve when the stand alone restaurant is built and the water park. I wanted to ask if they had employee discounts but thought it might be pushing it

Flying out of Manchester at 7:05 am. We have a shuttle from the hotel at 4:30 because the 5:00 am shuttle was already booked! Yikes!

Back from Biloxi, no luck here, I played mostly on their $$ so I am only down $30.00 not bad for a day in the casino!!! My mom hit for 288.00 in the first five minutes. She was thrilled.

12:14 - I arrive in MCO, pick up luggage, pick up rental car, put my luggage in rental car.
1:30 - Pick up Owner's Locker from Brian in baggage claim. Take OL to car. Move car to other side of airport
1:58 - Frank arrives. Claim his luggage, store it in car.
3:25 - Leisha & Tommy arrive. Frank meets them at security checkpoint. I pick them all up curbside.
Sometime after 3:25 - Head for Port Canaveral

I realize this may not be a great question, and I do not want to alarm anyone. DH wants me to ask this (although I know several are traveling and unable to see this) Are any of you worried at all about Mexico and it's recent crimes? We are booked to go to Tulum and are seriously thinking of canceling and just hanging out in the area near the ship. We've done Tulum before and know that you take a boat over to playa del carmen, you then walk through part of the town (about 15 minutes) to get to a bus. Once on the bus you drive about 1 1/2 hours to reach Tulum. Along the way you pass through some small towns and even stop at a "rest area" to shop for souvenirs. Then you of course do the same thing to return to the ship. Has anybody else been concerned or looked at state dept site? Thanks for your input!

I did look at the State Department web site the other day. Most of the warnings are for areas along the US/Mexico border. They say the tourist areas are pretty safe, although any tourist area is subject to petty crimes. There was no mention of the Yucatan.

As you know, Disney is really big on safety. I don't think they would take us anywhere unsafe. That being said, you're on vacation and if you are the least bit concerned or uncomfortable, you should go with your gut. It might also be a good idea to talk it over with the CMs at the Shore Tour desk. I'll bet that you are not the first person to ask that question.

I have thought about it a bit and, of course, some "kind" co-workers have brought it up. I'm with Kathy, though. The bad stuff is near the border and I can't imagine DCL letting us go into anytype of crime hotbed. We still plan to do Tulum.

It's 2:45 am. Been up since 2. And I still have one more night to try to sleep. Ugh. Gonna be a loooong day today. Good thing I'm taking a long lunch for a mani/pedi. Teh hours will be made up, though. WOnder how many funny looks I get wearing sandals when teh high will be 62?

Come on cruise mates. There must be someone else pretneding to sleep who'd rather keep me company!

This is our last post until we meet you all.
It's 5:AM we are leaving in about 45 min for the Jet Port.
If our flight go right we should arrive in Orlando at 2M then on to the Magical Express and the World and OKW.
