Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

I have a question about the dry dock before our cruise. Has the magic ever not completed it's dry docks activities in time for the first cruise after wards? I need something to worry about besides hurricanes.:rotfl:

I read on other threads that sometimes they are still working on the ship while you are on it because they didn't finish in time.

Yes and no. It all depends on how much they have to get done on the ship, and how many people they can throw at the ship. Its not uncommon, for workers to be putting down the last of the carpet, or picking up the pieces that protected the decks where the conex boxes sat, on the first cruise. Im thinking that there shouldnt be any of that, as from what Ive seen, rumor has it that shes going to Freeport this time around. At least 2 different disers have come off med cruises saying that the crew they talked to,were staying with the ship when she goes to Freeport. The reason is that Freeport (assuming she does go there) is a lot closer to PC then Va is, and theyll have 2 more days to get everything done, as opposed to losing 1 full day just to get in and out of the dock, and at least 2-3 days in transit.Shell still lose a day getting into and out of the dock,(takes roughly 12 hours 1 way) but shell gain the transit time back, since shes so close.

Cool! I'm hoping we will all end up in Margaritaville :drinking1 Not that that's a bad thing

That's how you keep sailors out of trouble :rolleyes1

Dani is going to take her daughter, and her parents and wander around, and were going to meet them at somepoint after our trip. Or before. Need to find out if were going in the morn or afternoon. I had promised my son last year in the Bahamas, to do the semi sub, and had forgotten about it. And he was upset that we didnt do it, so Im making sure we do it this year.

Theres other ways to keep sailors out of trouble (or cause it)
You could send them for prop wash, or to look for the keys to the anchor chain locker.

I was just wondering if anybody knew that room Orygun has. I was looking on the fe map and website and they still did not have a room number. Thank you

Hello everyone

We are booked for this cruise. We cruised August 29th 2009 with a great bunch of people. We look forward to cruising with all of you.It will be myself Mike 43,DW Tara 37,DS Chase 3 on Oct 16 and my DD Sienna 4 .

We would love to be included in the FE. Please add us to the list. On the last cruise we had an excellent suggestion from another member. I had made up wristbands from here http://www.wrist-band.com/indexs.php for all the members with a theme and date of the cruise on them. It came to be about 1 dollar per bracelet at the end.We had to sizes Adult and Youth. If we are interested in doing that again I would gladly handle that. You can see example below of last years. All we would need is colors and a theme to get a proof.

Good idea! :flower3: I think we left off talking about which color / font to use. Lets continue the conversation! :)
I like the disney font with black band and red or white for the writing. or, white band with black or red writing . . . :confused3
Anyone else have ideas?

Sorry I have not posted in a while but I guess its time. I will get together the ideas people have sent for the bracelets and post them. If people could PM me about how many they need it would be a big help. There is a minimum order of 100 per size. Last year we got 2 sizes adult and youth. Getting just adult is fine for kids. There is not a big difference and the adult size will work for youths. Depending on how many people order them will determine the price. The cost will be between 1.00 and 2.00 a piece.

How is it possible that MY clothes almost fit in a carry-on bag while DH's DD's and DS all need a BIGGGGG suitcase? I know I must be forgetting something. :laundy: <--------- I have been doing this all day just to make sure. :P  maybe I can just buy new clothes in each port for the next day and not pack ANYTHING :rotfl2: can you tell how excited I am to pack for 4??? LOL

BTW: what are people doing in Cozumel? We are very seriously considering nt gettin off? We have been to COz. twice and well.... not much more to do that we can do with a baby.

I love your idea of buying clothes while traveling, but I learned the hard way last cruise, pack your undies/bras, and slips. They don't sell these onboard! And they don't sell them ashore at most places. Try using a bathing suit wrap as a slip under a pretty dress!! not easy.

DH & I are doing Tulum. Did Annikan ever get booked on this?? I know she really wanted this.

My first cruise was in 2006 on the Wonder straight out of dry dock. The only thing unfinished was an area near the spa that was still boarded up, and there was a delay in opening the pools for some reason. Other than that, everything was fine.

GOOD MORNING ALL

28 DAYS at this time we will be in the air and on our way to WDW and the first leg of our long awaited journey with our old friends and new.

You have my permission! I really like teh options for at sea days that you have to buy from teh ship store. :) We are doing the Tulum ruins in Cozumel. No idea of age limits, though, or if maybe you've already done that. Seems several of us are doing that.

We may get off the ship and do a little shopping but other than that we are not doing anything in Cozumel. If you would like to shop you are welcome to come with us.

I was originally staying on the ship and Mark was going to do the cooking class. I decided 2 weeks ago to try and work on my fear of heights. We are doing the 4 elements which includes a zip line 160 ft in the air :scared1:

I am going to give it my best, but may end up walking....:rotfl:

That is so cool!!! :worship::worship:

Umm, uh, no Margaritaville???

You must have been typing when I was typing - I didn't think you guys would miss an opportunity for drinks

How is you Doggie doing?

I forgot you were dog setting this week

Fine, one day down. I slept over there, Don;t like her being alone all day and night. Fed the dog, fed the turtles then off to the gym, lunch and a job fair!!! So wish me luck!!! The last one I went to was a joke, all the companies there had nothing open.
