Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

Take care of yourselves, how is Tommy feeling?

He is rough this morning. :sad2: We could not convice him to go home and rest. He did all of the grilling and cooking. We made $8500 for the weekend. This will pay for the tournament mat for wrestling. We have some new young coaches that actually showed up and worked. The football coach even worked. I think he finally got the message you don't work you do not get what you ask for. ;)

Good morning Everybody

Well as I set here on the other side of the wall in the bathroom Bath Fitters are hard a work redoing our bathroom. After 20 yrs since the last time we had it done it was time to do it again.

Leisha would you please tell Tommy to take it easy. Im sure there are younger people working around him that could carry the load.
Dam we want him healthy in OCT.:banana:right Joanne?
Nancy sees to be on the mend even though it still a little sore on the knee and ankle.
Its' driving her crazy because she can't do what she wants to like going for a walk. I think by next week we might be able to start with some short walks like 10 min nt 35 or 40 like we are use to.
Everybody have a great day.

Sharks on our coasts are much more frequent than people think! :guilty: I grew up on the Jersey Shore and every day planes fly up and down the coastline with an eye out for large ones. The water this summer in Jersey has been the cleanest in years and held huge amount of bait fish. They have also had a humpbac whale frequentin the shoreline arouns Point Pleasant or these same reasons.
*If you watch the video closely, you'll notice a rod tip which means the shark was hooked up off shore and reeled in:rolleyes1....likely a ways out past the breakers.

I used to live in Queens NY, and lived on Jamaica Bay.Weve had more then a few sharks turn up there, that chased baitfish or something else into it.Coule of hammerheads, and even a few bulls and a blue or 2.
I even remember Capt Frank Mundus (I met him once at the boat show when I was a kid.He is the person Peter Benchly based the character Quint on from Jaws) catch a great white, and set a record for the largest shark caught off of Long Island.

You know him no one can do it right as far as he is concerned. I told him he has to be healthy for Oct. I hope your bathroom turns out as well as ours did. There is nothing like having a new bathroom. Tell Nancy to take care of herself.

Doss is 60% at risk kids so we do not see the parent. The ones that have offered we would not trust with the money. It is sad and still amazes me that some of these kids get themselves up and to school everyday. We have a few kids that are homeless or in group homes. It is so sad but those are the ones that we do it all for. We want to make sure we can give those kids money to help with college and have a useful purpose. We feed some of the kids before games so they will at least have 2 meals a day. I would love to bring them all home but Tommy will not let me. :confused3:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

You guys are too good!! It's amazing what kids can do for themselves when they need to. Keep up the good work, but take care of yourself!!!

I think that is why I get so mad at my two spoiled kids. :) Tommy is home resting now.

Is it too early in the week to be looking forward to the big, flashy 9 that Deb will put up on Friday? :confused3

I am so pathetic! :guilty:

I know mine too, they are finally figuring it out, with all their friends with lots of school loans. Scott actually cried when he left friday, which made me ball even harder!!!

Hi guys! Because I was away for so long, our originally thread was closed! So glad I found you guys!

Hi guys! Thanks for the welcome back! Since I last posted, we did a surprise trip to Disney in July. We surprised the kids with the trip. My borther and his family and my mom were going down to visit my grandmother in Venice Fl., and then off to Disney. SO, my hubby and I started talking and decided maybe we should go too! SO, we planned the trip within 2 weeks. Never did anything like that before, it was fun!!! We stayed for 10 days. It was a nice trip. We had a quick shower 1 day, but that was the only rain we had down there.

Can't wait for Oct. We got all our ressies for the cruise booked on July 3rd. We got high tea, brunch and dinner at Palos. We were very happy that we got the days and times we wanted.

Well, gotta run. I promise to be back and post more often.
