Hi everybody! Can't believe how quickly the cruise is getting closer now, we can book Palo and excursions the day after tomorrow already

.
Seemed forever when we booked the cruise in May 09!
Unfortunately, this week has not been the best for me - there is a bit of disruption at work going on, and I have been a bit ill and running a fever all week but couldn't call in sick since that wouldn't be a good move jobwise at this time. After work I just sort of fell into bed and slept feverishly, and thus I forgot to call a very good friend on her birthday which she was a bit mad at me for.
By far the worst thing, though, was yesterday when we found out that a dear neighbor has just been diagnosed as very, very gravely ill.

At first I did not even realize how bad it was and I was all optimism and good wishes, especially since he said he had just had a successful operation. But then I read up on it on the internet, and it seems that a successful operation doesn't really mean much in the long run. I am very shocked and don't really know how to react. Even if you don't know him, please join us in keeping your fingers crossed for this very nice and lovely man.
When things like these happen, I am just so glad that my family is alright, even though it feels selfish to think like that. To all of you, I wish a happy weekend, and may you all and your loved ones stay healthy and happy and safe!
