Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

I just figured out how to multi quote myself. All you need to do is click the multi quote icon on the bottom right of each post you want to quote (it will turn red). Once you select the posts, just click post reply.

:sad2: so simple  :rolleyes1
Thanks Phil

Hi everybody! Can't believe how quickly the cruise is getting closer now, we can book Palo and excursions the day after tomorrow already :scared1:.
Seemed forever when we booked the cruise in May 09!

Unfortunately, this week has not been the best for me - there is a bit of disruption at work going on, and I have been a bit ill and running a fever all week but couldn't call in sick since that wouldn't be a good move jobwise at this time. After work I just sort of fell into bed and slept feverishly, and thus I forgot to call a very good friend on her birthday which she was a bit mad at me for.

By far the worst thing, though, was yesterday when we found out that a dear neighbor has just been diagnosed as very, very gravely ill. :sad1::sad1::sad1:
At first I did not even realize how bad it was and I was all optimism and good wishes, especially since he said he had just had a successful operation. But then I read up on it on the internet, and it seems that a successful operation doesn't really mean much in the long run. I am very shocked and don't really know how to react. Even if you don't know him, please join us in keeping your fingers crossed for this very nice and lovely man.

When things like these happen, I am just so glad that my family is alright, even though it feels selfish to think like that. To all of you, I wish a happy weekend, and may you all and your loved ones stay healthy and happy and safe! :flower3:

Sorry to hear of your troubles Annika :sad2:

Here's some pixie dust for your neighbor pixiedust: and some for you as well pixiedust:

Good luck on your shore tour & Palo ressies tonight - oops, I guess it will be tomorrow morning for you :yay:

Good Morning All
Well we are off to our oldest son today to celebrate Nancys farthers 90th birthday. Maine Lobsters and Clams and corn on the cob are on the menu for today.
Yesterday was actually was his birthday. Nancy and I and Nancys sister took him out to lunch.
He is doing quit well for himself see he just lost his wife who was also 90. He is still able to drive and I must say does quit well. Still very alert for his age and very smart and is living by himself in his home.
Everyody have a great day.

PS
Oh Yes Nancy is on the mend and doing much better
Dan

:bday: to Nancy's Dad! Glad to hear Nancy is feeling better :flower3:

Just wanted to share pictures of my little ones!

They are adorable!!!

Now that's a great idea - except since I can't exercise I guess I should watch how much of it I eat!!

Thanks for the help. I already have experience with the problem of favoring one side from another injury a few years ago. This time however there's nothing to favor since I sprained my left ankle and twisted my right knee. So each leg is getting equal time!!! I'm just so mad at myself for messing up the rest of my summer. But I am catching up on some reading, knitting and DVR recordings so all is not lost!

N

Take care! Try not to work Dan too hard, :lmao:

We're so very sad to have to bow out of this cruise. We've rebooked for January 30 on the Eastern itinerary. :/ I lost my job so need the extra few months to regroup.

I am sorry you will not be sailing with us but you can still post. :)

Hi All

:goodvibes Wish us luck for our Palo reservation

Our Palo dinner is already secured (through our friends :grouphug:), but we have to reserve on our own for the Brunch . . . :wizard:

Keeping my fingers crossed and we'll be :surfweb: at 10 p.m. (our time) trying to book!

Good morning everybody ;)

Yes, it is 5.48 a.m. here and I am still rubbing sleep from my eyes, but all set to go and do the online bookings! Thank you everybody who is keeping their fingers crossed, and best of luck to my fellow cruisers who are sitting at the keyboard waiting for the booking window to open now just like me (althogh maybe yesterday evening and not this morning - the concept of time zones never entirely ceases to baffle me :rotfl2:)

:grouphug: Oh, I'm so sorry. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sending prayers and pixie dust for your neighbour :wizard:

Thank you for the nice words! :flower3:

Thank you for the pixie dust, I feel like I need it! But at the moment, all is happy and good and I am all anticipation for the bookings, and all the bad things are temporarily forgotten. A real Disney moment, you could say. :wizard:

Well, there are no Palo brunches available . .. :sad2: Guess we'll have to try and get in when we board.

Oh no, Palo brunch was all unavailable already :sad1: - did you still get it, Deb?

At the moment, the system seems rather fragile - I seem to have managed to get a couple of reservations through, but I'm not sure yet since I am getting all sorts of error messages. Now they are telling me my reservation is currently unavailable, and to try again in 20 minutes ... Oh, the suspense of it ... :sad2:

Thank you for the nice words! :flower3:
