Deb: can you please post the link to that other thread you sent me? the one with the info on doing the cruise with a kiddo.

I am taking that info and thinking that there are places in all the kids' clubs you can go with them. At least that is what I am hoping since we are not super into a couple of the ports.
We will aslo haev the new baby and my biggest concern is leaving "it" with anyone I don't know or having the kids have to be seperated. Especially since DD has SEVERE food allergies I get relaly nervoud leaving her anywhere.
Glad ot know I am not the only one worrying about this. :rotfl:

Click HERE to read the post on tips for cruising with a baby.

Lots of good suggestions. :thumbsup2

Also, the main DCL DIS board (HERE) is a good resource as people post their questions and expierences there as well. I have learned a lot about ports, the ships, door magnets, fish extenders, kids clubs, adult activities . . .etc :thumbsup2

There are also folks on our cruise who have sailed with small children as well . . .maybe they have some good ideas and suggestions too :thumbsup2

:flower3:

Are folks in for a Fish Extender exchange?

Yes! Pinkgirl has a list started already. If you would like to participate, just send her a pm and she will add you to the list.

BTW . . .Pinkgirl . . .where are you? :confused3 haven't heard from you in awhile :flower3:

Great links...thanks.:)

I have some dining room tips that new cruisers don't usually realize. They are very flexible in the dining room. If you can't decide between two entrees or appitizers...order both. You can mix and match...the veggie from one entree, the meat from this other entree, the potato from a third entree. You can order things without sauces. I've even heard that you can order something from one of the other dining rooms....I'm going to try to order French Onion soup the first three nights.

There are some always available items that are not on the menu but I can't remember exactly what they are but I think steak and grilled chicken are two of them. On Princess, we order baked potatoes every night and are going to try this on Disney.

My understanding is that for the first 3 nights, each of the dining rooms have a completely different menu and as you rotate, you will get each menu (although you could ask to order from one of the other dining rooms). Starting on day 4, the menu in all 3 dining rooms are the identical.
Will the experienced Disney cruisers correct me on this if I am wrong?:confused3

thanks for sharing this info with us all.

Woo Hoo! :cool1: Another Friday!

In recognition of all the toddlers, here are some cute countdown graphics :cutie:

we got our disney cruiseline dvd today, ordered it last week. Figured it's a good way to get Meredith aware of the idea of the cruise.

We received the cruise DVD a few weeks ago and showed Min. She is now talking about going on Mickey's boat. We haven't explained to her that we booked a ride on his boat and I don't think we are going to tell her. We plan to leave WDW, telling her we are heading home and head to the pier instead and ask her if she wants to ride Mickey's boat. I will be crushed if she says no.

21 more days for us!!!

I decided not to ship a box to the resort like I usually do so I started packing that misc stuff in roller duffle bag. I'm also collecting together clothes. Since we'll have a washer and dryer, I'm trying to force myself to take a lot less clothes. Yesterday I pulled all but 4 outfits for myself...it's so hard to decide which 4 to take.

:)

I hope everyone had a gggggrrreaaattt weekend

Weather here in NC was beautiful. We've gone from frost on the windows in the morning to wearing shorts today.

I hope to get on this week and catch up with you all.

? for Pinkgirl How many children are in the FE right now. I'm working on something and need a ROUGH count. I know it will change but this will at least give me osme idea, THANKS

Hello. Haven't posted in a few days. I thought I'd drop in and say hi. How was everyone's weekend? DH was out of town, so DS and I got to spend some 1x1 time. It was fun. Its back to work today. Its rainy here but we still need some good rain, so we're glad to have it.

I hope to hear about the count too, so I can get started on FEs early. With the holidays coming, you just can't help but start thinking about gift giving :thumbsup2

Have a great week.

Hi everybody, haven't posted in a while. I hope you all had a great weekend! DH and I have had today off so we've had a nice long weekend together. Today is the 20th anniversary of the reunification of East and West Germany, and we sort of celebrate that since every one of us is originated from a different German country so we wouldn't ever have been able to find each other otherwise :)

Anyway, tomorrow is back to work (sigh)
Have a nice day

Annichan

Well, I just booked our pre-cruise stay at WDW. Now, I hope everything works out ok and we don't end up having to cancel the cruise.

WOW :hyper:
You know it's getting close when you can finally reserve accomodations at WDW :woohoo:

We have a couple weeks to wait for before we find out where we are staying. Our friends are DVC members and are making reservations for us :yay: Can't wait!
:wave2:Hi lurkers!

Are you staying at WDW after the cruise?

We are DVC members and booked BLT for our pre-cruise stay. What is your friends home resort or do they have multiple home resorts? Reservations can only be made at your home resort this far in advance.

I don't think my MIL will mind if answer this for us. We are stayign at WDW for a week after the cruise, along with the whole group we are cruising with.

I am not sure off the top of my head, of the resort name but it is their home resort that they are going to book for us. :) We are very excited for the opportunity!!!:cheer2:

Very exciting!!

It's so nice going with a group. We usually sail with my parents and my brother and SIL on Princess...unfortunely, they just don't have any interest in a Disney cruise. :sad2: I ended up booking 6 nights prior to the cruise and we are taking two nights to drive down (it's about a 22 hour drive for us). After the cruise, we are thinking about trying the Auto Train which will put us about 6 hours and 20 minutes from home.

Their home resort is SSR and our group is hoping to get into a Treehouse Villa, otherwise we will get a 2 bdrm at SSR. (but really hoping for a Treehouse :cutie:)

We are just waiting for the booking window to open. :upsidedow
