Just booked our first DCL cruise for October 16-23, 2010! Yeah!! We have been wanting to go on a Disney cruise for a long, long time. We have only been on a NCL cruise, so we are hoping that this will be much, much better!

A very warm welcome to our new cruisemates! I hope everyone has had a great weekend: here in Northern Germany it was really pleasant, rather warm and golden early-autumn weather, DH and I have spent almost the whole weekend outdoors (first at father-in-law's 60th birthday and then visiting friends and having probably the last outdoor barbecue of the summer. What a beautiful weekend, I wish it wasn't over yet!

1) You have to be listed on post #5 as a cruiser on this cruise in order to vote. This way we won’t have strangers naming our cruise. Kayleebug we will make sure you’re added to the list.

On October 7th I will send a PM to Annichan with the top three names I got sent to me and she will send me the top three names sent to her. They should match if everyone remembers to send both of us a PM.
Then I will post the top three names and everyone will get to vote one last time. You will have until October 15th to make your final vote. Annichan and I will both email each other on October 16th with the top name sent to each of us. As soon as we confirm the information I will post the name on the board. The top name picked in the final vote will be our cruise name.

Thank you for the warm welcome. We are soooooo excited. This cruise will be a birthday cruise for my DW. We are new to the FE, but we got the 411 at FE 101, so we are discussing it and we'll let u know. Only we don't know the cabin # yet we only know what catagory it is. All of us (except DS, he keeps slobbering on the keys) have started reading recent reviews and we like what we see . DS has a Mickey Mouse Riding scooter that plays the Mickey Mouse song and he dances, so that's a good sign. Our DD will be nine and our DS will be almost two for the cruise so it should be an adventure. DS is waking up from his nap. He's sick with a cold.

Talking with the DW and DD about the names and we'll have a vote in this weekend. This may sound strange, but I've been pondering a thought. DW is normally the one on the DIS posting and going crazy over our WDW trips, but she is more laid back about the cruise and I'm the one going crazy. I'm already thinking about a packing list. I'm normally telling her to stop obsessing, and to take things as they come. Don't take this the wrong way, she is excited, but I'm the one obsessed. I've been reading everything from how much water costs to whether or not the cabin has a hairdryer (I'm basicially bald). My DW says she doesn't want to get as obsessed as me and wants some suprises. Me I want more and more and more information. AAAAuuuuuccccchhhhhh. Much better now. I'm now crossing my legs in a meditation style breathing and going ooooommmmmm. Is this normal or am I crazy?

It's all good. You just caught the first Disney cruise bug. I was the same with the first Disney cruise. Wait, what am I saying, I'm still reading up on things and we've been on 2 cruises. It's great. We can obsess together.

We've got a packed weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds up so we can enjoy our music festival this weekend.
