Our high today is going to be 99 AHHHH I have a feeling we will be spending most of the day in the pool.

Just curious on people opinion on this...

How important do you think it is to have a window in your room on a 7 day cruise?

We always have a veranda becasue of my DH. I would not need one because I am not in the room much.

Thanks everyone. That's a little bit of Disney magic right there! :wizard: We took her to WDW in October last year and had family portraits done in front of the Beach Club. The photographer got her to point at a flower and all of a sudden Tinkerbell showed up!:thumbsup2

She's a lot of fun, a real Mickey Mouse fan! Although I think Pluto holds her heart, she takes him to daycare every day to nap with him.

Enjoy her now because she will be a teenager before you know it. :lmao::rotfl2: That is one of the cutest pictures!!

To quote another of my favorite DISers "Have Veranda - Will Travel". I LOVE to look at the stars and the ocean in my pjs. Part of the cruise experience for me is being able to look out the window and see the ocean. I also love to hear the sound of the ocean and being able to watch the boat pulling into port (especially Castaway Cay!) Yes, of course, you can watch this from the deck too, but not in your pjs (well maybe except for Mikey...). I can see what's going on while i'm getting ready for the day.

I have cruised in an inside cabin before and hated it, but I must admit it wasn't on Disney.

So you can see from the responses that inside vs. window or veranda is a really personal choice. There is no right answer to this question. It's really up to you.

It's not. We spend very little time in our room so it's not important to us. This will be our third time with a veranda, once on deck 1 with the little windows and three times on the inside. We are having one for Alaska, now there it might be important!!

No room numbers yet - Joanne & Roger and Frank & I have GTY Cat 5. Cat 5's have verandas. The GTY means that they have to give us that Cat or higher. Which means we have to have a veranda.

:goodvibes Here are a couple wedding pictures.
The bride was beautiful, the wedding was wonderful and I'm exhausted! :cutie:

Were you the mother of the bride or groom?

Mother of the Bride. :bride: :cutie:

Weather was quite tricky on Monday. We had wind, showers, downpour, sunshine and thunder! The pictures were taken during the periods of sunshine. Of course, we've had nothing but good sunny weather ever since :sad2: Everyone kept saying its good luck to have it rain on your wedding day :confused3

Congratulations to your daughter! It looks like it was a beautiful day, even with the rain.

Welcome aboard! And yes your daughter is very cute - love the pic!
We (hubby and I) are also in a cat 6 - is our first cruise and we can't wait!
It's getting closer!!!! :dance3:

Can we join in? DH and I booked over the weekend, want to give a very BIG thank you to whoever canceled their Category 6 on Saturday! We snagged it!! Don't know our room # yet, just Cat 6 GTY for now.

It's the three of us this cruise, myself (Erica), DH (Stephen), and DD (Audrey) who will be 2.5 at the time of sailing. We live in Oklahoma. This is DH and my second Disney cruise. Our first was a 4-night on the Wonder in January 2002. We've also been on the Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Independence of the Seas from RCCL. Looking forward to a little bit of that Disney magic!

We're desperately trying to potty train DD. It's slow, but hopefully she'll be there by October so she can enjoy some of the kids club. Otherwise I'll spend time with her there doing the activities that sound like fun.

I'm interested in the Fish Extender swap, especially since it sounds like it isn't going to be too big! I was afraid it would be overwhelming, but at this rate I can handle it!

Beautiful pictures, congratulations on being the mother of this beautiful bride (and of having a new son-in-law, of course)! I really really like the lavender-and-white colour scheme, especially with the green garden as a backdrop!

I can't comment from experience as this will be our first cruise, but I am really looking forward to our verandah. It may turn out that we will not use it much, but at the moment I can't imagine that, I can see myself sitting on the verandah with a cup of coffee and a book every morning and am so much looking forward to that! (If my body adjusts to the jetlag the way it did on our trip to WDW last year, for the first 4 or 5 days I will always wake up by 7 a.m. at the latest, which I don't ever usually do, so the verandah will be perfect for that.)

I hope the enclosure on our verandah will not be too much of an obstruction (we have one of the "secret verandah rooms" on deck 6, i.e. a cat 7 room that is in reality a cat 6 room). But from all I have read here on the boards, people actually seem to find it cozy. :yay:
