hey everyone.... just got back from the world.... the new fireworks Summer Nightastic was unbelievable. We were surprised on Saturday night that they decided to do a dry run of both the fireworks and the electric light parade. Sunday was supposed to be the official opening. I was disappointed though because I really love spectromagic and planned my last night to watch it.

Someone at guest services gave us 3d glasses to wear as a test. Did not like the effects at all. They only lasted on my face maybe a minute.

Now that this trip is over I get to obsess on the cruise. :cool1:

They DO have cabins. It's just a way they do things - all cruise lines do it. Once they sell a certain percent of a category, they make the rest GTY.

By taking a GTY they promise that you will get a cabin at that level or higher (some people do get upgraded with a GTY). I've heard that Disney sometimes assigns cabin numbers after the final payment date passes. But they also tell you that you might not get your cabin number until you get to the port.

Frank & I have a Cat 5 GTY as well. I know we will be getting a cabin and that's enough for me. I'm sure it will work out fine.

Me too, as long as I am on it I don;t care!!

You all will probably end up with better cabins than us!!

I LOVE the Electric Parade! :yay: Unfortunately, we're going to miss it since we won't be back to the World until October.

Were the 3D glasses for the parade or the fireworks?

Hey - I found some pictures from when we stayed in the Walt Disney Suite!

If any one form the cruise line is listening. :surfweb: You can put the 4 of us in the walt suite and then you will have 2 cabins free. Then it will be party central in the Walt suite!!

Did anyone notice that we depart on Disney's birthday?
October 16, 1923 was the founding date! (according to wikipedia anyway!)
