I usually have bad dreams about the cruise too.....but i was actually having a good dream, the other morning when i was woken up by a phone call from work...........


AND OMG..........

Cant believe how much i missed in just a day and a half.

Me and DD are sharing a computer until her Bday and i have to give her....."her time".

Oh goodness no. Takes a lot more than a joke to offend me. I've just been crazy busy. We went out of town to my sister's in SC over the weekend and now my garden is running amuck. I have a whole sink full of green beans to deal with, not to mention zucchini out the wazoo. And I am beyond stressed out about my baby starting school this Thursday. We homeschooled for kindergarten and DH has talked me into giving the public schools a shot. I will be a wreck all week. Now to go catch back up with all I've missed.

Oh she will be okay.....It is harder on us than it is on them!!! Trust me i have done it 4 times.

hey all! Just booked this cruise like ten minutes ago. Let me introduce ourselves.....
I am chris, 45, my wife is lori, 39, and we are from ontario canada. We are in cabin 6141 with late seating. This will be our second western and our 6th disney cruise.

I don't know about the poll (never done one) but we are well on our way to thread #2 so it wouldn't be too terrible if it ended up staying.

Yeah I do think we should set a timeframe...otherwise voting could go on til Oct. 16, 2010! That's what I meant in one of my initial posts about somebody is always going to come along and feel like they weren't a part of the name selection. The only way to avoid that would be to not pick a name until we sail....

...So I think a couple of weeks would be sufficient. It would give the lurkers and those not following the thread a chance to catch what is going on. What do ya'll think?

And yes personally I like the top 3 idea. That way if the name you voted on is not close (and there are so many ideas, concievably votes could be very scattered) then you have an opportunity to pick which you like best of the top 3. JMO. That way in the end it would be more of a majority decision. When you have 20 names and 5 people vote for one and the other fifteen each vote for differnt choices then in the end it is really not a majority doing the selection- just a more vocal minority. But then when all 20 have to decide on one of 3, it makes it much more a group choice. Does that make sense?

When we had the logo voting on our last cruise they did it this way- with a preliminary vote to select the top 5 and then we voted on the winner out of top 5. It worked well.

here is what I think ...

Voting should end on Sunday (again this is for selfish reasons. I'm making somethings and need to know the name of our cruise) I do totally get the one to two week open voting thing.

After reading the other posts I agree top three should be revoted on

again just what I think I will do whatever everyone wants

Quiet today...is everyone busy working?

I don't know about anyone else but I've been busy today. We decided to get a so I took our 7 year old to the animal shelter so we could look around and he could get a feel for what he likes, then we headed to Toys R Us so he could spend some of his Birthday money. The rest of the afternoon was spent unpacking, eating dinner, a quick break on here and now I'm heading back upstairs to get the rest of the boxes done.

As far as the name goes.....for some people it is all part of the magical experience, especially when you start spending money to buy t-shirts, lanyards and so on.
Basically, when then name was suggested way back on page 2, there were only about 3 or 4 people that were posting.
Now that there are more people, it would only be fair to come up with names and put it to a vote. If the majority vote for "Bring Back the Magic" then that's great! We will know it is a group decision.

I know some of you all have done an Eastern Caribbean cruise... Anyone have any good ideas for what to do in St Martin? We thought we had a good idea but found out that the excursion we were looking at wasn't recommended for 19 month olds....
