Well, I can't offer much because we always stay in the same place...Fort Wilderness. We get to mix the "camping" we love with Disney...what could be better? Now, I'm not sure about the cabins (we stay in our RV), but we couldn't be happier with our stay :goodvibes

I don't know if you've ever been over there, but it is sooooo peaceful and quiet. Our close friends go to Disney alot as well, and that's probably the one (and only thing) she complains about...is the noise at the hotels. As far as her experience goes, they tend to hear families coming/going all through the night. We've never had this. I know that when we lived in California and frequented DL alot, I kept dreaming about WDW and Fort Wilderness...it hasn't let me down yet (5 trips so far with the 6th this October)

Anyway, just my opinion. I don't know if you're staying with alot of family, but I know the cabins have separate BR and kitchen facilities...I always love being able to get straight up and have breakfast in the morning before heading out for the day :) The one thing is, though, if you're looking for a "disney" pool, you'll be out of luck...it's just a plain pool. I did read somewhere they're planning on adding to it or making it a "theme pool" at some point, but don't know when that's going to happen. We spend so little time at the pool...it's more of just a quick dip here and there. Also like some of the other resorts, they have an internal bus system that can (at times) drive you crazy. We've had trips where we get on those buses to the sites with almost no waiting...then we've had trips where it seems as though we've always "just missed it" and had a little wait. But I think some of the other hotels have these systems as well...isn't CBR the same way?

What we love is stopping by the stables, attending the Chip n Dale marshmallow roast/movie and the fun boat rides over to the Magic Kingdom! We also usually take 1 or 2 days off from the parks and do things just around the campground and it's just like another world. They have bicycle trails (with bikes to rent if you don't have your own), hay/carriage rides, horseback riding, etc.

Now I know there's lots of places to say, and FW just isn't some people's cup of tea, but we enjoy it! Just my 2 cents worth :thumbsup2

We have never stayed at the camp ground but hope to one day, i dont think my parents would like it.

But we have made our decision, we are staying at the BEACH CLUB in a 2 bedroom villa. for 3 nights.

decision FINAL!!!!

Now i can get excited and start planing.

Welcome John and Barb! Great to have you onboard!

Hope everyone is doing good! Not much going on down here, we are heading over to Lakeland this weekend for dance competiton..otherwise same old, same old. My mom is over in Orlando this week for some Arnold Palmer golf thing. She was at Citiwalk last night and she sent me a text...she was suprised it was SO BUSY. Umm, yeah...I told her it was Spring Break time, but she didn't want to listen. :lmao:
She hasn't been to Disney in years, (like since back when there was only MK and Epcot and a handful of resorts) I think she would pass out if she saw how huge and busy it is these days! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Hey all!

Well, I have been holding off of booking because we were waiting on the testing schedule to be posted for our school district for 2010 (I will have a H.S. kiddo on my hands when we cruise). I am happy to report that my daughter will not be having any testing during the week of the cruise afterall...and so I am booking this week!

Just one question...is anyone concerned about this cruise being the first cruise post drydock? I saw some pretty bad reviews of a post drydock cruise and it has me a bit nervous. Please calm my fears...because the dates and prices for this cruise are perfect! ;)

Shauna...

Isnt a bad day on a Disney Cruise better than NO Disney Cruise at all?!?!?!

But i cant imagaine it being really bad.

Although i have not read any reviews:confused3

I will most likely add some BLING to the waist and straps maybe a flower to the side waist of the the purple one and maybe some silver bling to the waist of the black one.

Jen (Nenner1), the kids and I were on the last post dry-dock cruise. Actually it wound up being the second because DCL decided to cut dry-dock short and throw in an extra 3 night cruise just prior to ours. :confused3 By the time we got on board the ship was 99% in order. They were still doing a little bit of work here and there, but then again I've seen them doing the same kind of work on a not fresh out of dry-dock cruise.

Now on the other hand that 3 night cruise they added on was bad from what I hear.:scared1:

So as long as they stay in dry-dock as long as they are supposed to, all should be well. Even if they do stick in another 3 nighter before us they will be the ones to suffer not us.:thumbsup2

Check out Jen's trip report for more details of our post drydock cruise. She's nenner1 on this thread. There is a link to it in her signature. She is an excellent writer.

Actually I would say 90%.

The Mickey pool was closed for the first day and 1/2. Because this was embarkation and Castaway Cay days it wasn't as big of a deal as if it had been closed on sea days.

Also the other pools were still a bit greenish at first. That was a really big deal on the 3 night before us because IIRC the QC pool was closed most of that cruise, as was the Mickey Pool. Goofy was very green, and pictures of all three pools were posted..they were all green or brownish.

I wish I could find that thread, with no search right now I can't..but that 3 night cruise slid in before ours they all pretty much referred to as a "construction cruise".

Hopefully they keep her in dry dock the entire amount of alloted time so they do not rush her back into service with incomplete work, but then again if they bring her back early and squeeze in another cruise like they did last time...well...it won't be us onboard!;)

Lynn-I love the dresses, especially the one with purple.:thumbsup2 I have a question of a somewhat personal nature. Can you wear a regular bra with those kind of dresses? I'm not of an age(or size for that matter:lmao:) where I can go without one but I love that style.

OH yes....

i would never go without one either.....
But yes there is a ittle piece ofmy bra that shows in the back because it v's down in the back the same as the front.

i will either take apiece of fabric and do soemthign to the back or get a flower aand pin back there...depends on what kind of soemthign ido to the front to jazz them up a little.

or i cold get a bra with a smaller band in the back....either way i will "MAKE IT WORK" as Tim Gunn would say!!!!:rotfl2: ( okay sorry for those of you who dont watch project runway)

I am officially booked. :cool1:
