Nenner1 is correct. Anyone can pop in and vote and thats not what is wanted here. Also with the ...or...'s, it is not a true vote for a specific cruise handle.
In my opinion we should scrap this poll, sorry, and list each handle or phrase seperately and number them 1 through 10 or how ever many there are, and pm someone our numbered pick. That person can verify the picks against the master cruiser list. One vote per family I would guess.
This is just my 2 cents.....

We have the following names in the top picks

The Magic is Back in Paradise
Our Magical Cruise!
Bring Back The Magic

Why not just take all the other names off the list and just have those three. Then make it that everyone sends one person (whoever wants to be the contact person) a PM with their choice.

Really it's only a name, I know its more important to some than others but a lot of time has been put into this and we've got no where with it.

Lets just vote and move on

I know this all seems a little silly to be so passionate about the title of a cruise meet thread. So when it comes down to it it can be called whatever ones heart desires. Whether you want it to represent something in your life, a special feeling you get or simply state where we are going. A meet thread's title will never be everything to everyone... Generally when I walk into a situation the name is what it is. I know it can be hard to embrace someone else's opinion when you didn't get a chance to put in your $.02 worth. I never embraced the name of our last cruise thread, but when others already took ownership in the name and seemed to take pride in it, it wasn't in me to rain their parade. It was just the name of the thread and in our scrap books we'll make mention to it, but we have our own name to that chapter of our lives.

Yes, "Bring Back the Magic" is a Jimmy Buffett song. I do get a little joy that comes over me when it comes on my ipod because it nows represents the forthcoming event in which I am most excited about. But to me it's not about the name of the song. It is about that feeling I get when I get to the top of that bridge and finally see the ship after waiting for so long. That feeling of goosebumps when they introduce our family on the boat. And most importantly, knowing that I was able to provide that magic to my family.

Call it what you will. We all know what boat we'll be on, we all know where we are going and we know all know what dates we'll be going. We can all refer to this chapter of our lives with our own splendid title.

I just wanted to recall this post a made a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe that was almost 500 posts ago... Our thread has a very different climate these days!!!! I had mentioned before that all that changing this late in the game would do was get people bent out of shape. I wish I hadn't gotten so caught up in it, but for some reason it is just one of those things.

Obviously people not involved in our thread have hopped on and voted and yes it is enough to make the results invalid!

Of the total 41 user names listed on page 2 (including Peggy separately who joined last night but is listed in post 2 under Kritter)

23 of then have been online since the poll was posted.

So it is plainly obvious that since the poll has had 30 voters and only 23 of them are from this thread we have 7 votes that are not from our meet members.

7 votes is certainly enough to sway the outcome in one direction or the other!

Lynn I think we should go ahead and scrap the poll now.

I think we should start over by posting the votes in the thread.

gssmks 7/20-is booked with the same TA that a few of us are..Carol she was on our last cruise in Oct. so she is is cruising with us again..

Peggy, is my mom and her and my dad are cruising with us again...

Why, can't we ask Nancy to put it on our cruise website this way only cruisers who have access to the website can vote?? It is totally secure that way!!
