Oct. 15 & 16 Why open so late?

Hi denise! I'll chime in here and tell ya that UEA is the Utah Educators Assocation conference held annually in Oct. This is the time when all of us Utahns Escape to Anaheim! get it? U.E.A (Utah Escapes to Anaheim) The kids have Thurs and Fri out of school and we are know for heading to Disneyland. We will be there this year as well. I am hoping that it won't be so bad as this year, only half the state has UEA on the 15th and 16th. However, from what I understand from other posters, Arizona schools also have a fall break this same time.....we'll see!!! This time combined with the Halloween season makes for one crazy busy Disneyland! I believe the CHOC walk is held on Sunday and DL is open really early to walkers to support the Childrens Hospital of Orange County - but the rides aren't. I don't know any more specifics other than there were other threads about it that offer more info than I have. Good luck with your planning!

I would like hubby to see the Halloween decorations so I wanted to pick a time to go in October....

I took the kids 2 weeks ago on a Sunday and while there were crowds I found them manageable and we had a great time.

Since my youngest has had to be out of school a few times for some dental appts recently I dont want to take him out of school during the week this month.

I was thinking of going on October 18th (Sunday) since they open later in the AM it gives us time to get there at opening since we have an hour drive but am wondering if that day is still going to be part of of the fall break or if people will be heading home that day?

Any thoughts? THANKS!!

We are leaving that day. We have found that if the week was busy, the weekend will be busy until Sunday evening and then, it was great. There was a noticable lack of crowds and we were able to get on most rides without much of a wait. HTH!
