Oct 13, 2012 Fantasy who's going

hi all-not been about much for a while but i thought i would pop on and see how all the planning is going. We have a stateroom number now and are in 2019. Its our very first cruise and we have booked with dvc points-we are wondering if we should upgrade or will we be happy with an inside room? I suppose never having cruised before we wont know what we are missing? We are staying at BLT for 3 nights before our cruise-is anyone else there? We are getting the dcl bus to the port.

Still debating the FE-not sure if its for us as we are travelling without the children and feeling like a bad parent too-lol

I notice most people seem to be in family groups and i sort of wish we were bringing our boys but nevermind. If anymore couples fancy meeting for a few drinks just let me know. Shall go and have a read through the thread now for a catch up.

We are also staying at BLT, but only the night before the cruise, and then again the Sat. night after. We bought DVC in 2010, and this will be our first time staying at our home resort, so we are very excited! Since we probably won't be going to the parks we booked the Magic Kingdom view so at least we could see MK and watch the fireworks. I am almost as excited to stay there as I am to cruise for the first time, it is going to be a long 6.5 months!

There were so many people at Lorna's last weekend, are you the one that I was chatting with about this? It takes me a couple of times to remember peoples names! If so, I am glad you took my advice and got on. My little one asks me every time we get in the car now, if it is time to go on the Mickey Boat yet.

OK - here is a chart of all that are on the first post. This will give you an idea of what all have said about the FE. Hope it helps in your decision making. If anything is incorrect - please advise ;):surfweb:

Thanks Jill, I've got a spreadsheet that has the FE group on it, but not one with everyone, so that's really helpful!

Hey everyone, been a little quiet lately, but now the Fantasy has sailed we are all super excited about leaving in 6 months and 5 days. I'm going to keep looking, but if anyone else stumbles across the navigators before we do about the Western Caribbean itinerary, please post a link in here if possible. I'm sure with all the previous cruisers on here like we are, planning your meals at Palo and Remy depends on which night we do it, definitely don't want to do it on Pirate night. I know its 6 months away, but we could have our bags packed today and be there tomorrow to go!

Here's a link to the Navigators, the Western ones that are out there are for the Magic, rather than the Fantasy, so the dates may be different, but this is on the Wednesday in Cozumel, and we're still scheduled to be in Cozumel on Wednesday so it will probably be the same.

Now, of course, given that, the last time that Jillian and I cruised, it was basically this same cruise last year, and we didn't hit a single port on the day we were supposed to hit it! Really messed up our plans to go scuba diving in Cozumel!

Anyway, we still had Pirate night on Wednesday, so I bet that's when they'll continue it.

Here's the link: Navigators

Don't print that spreadsheet just yet!

We are in cabin 5046. There are 3 adults - DH (59-60th birthday on the 10/17) Me-DW (58 - birthday on 10/7) DD (36 - 37th birthday on 10/16) and DGD (3-4th birthday on 11/8)

And yes to the suggestion to cut off FE at 30. But open to whatever the majority is voting.

Thanks Jill

Everyone in your group is having a birthday cruise!!! That's awesome :cutie:

So what do you think about splitting the FE group into 2 groups of 15 each (well, 14 and 15 until we get another participant)?

Thanks for the update - the first page is updated and post #700 has the correction noted :surfweb:

We are going on the Fantasy 10/13 cruise also. We just came off the Wonder on 4/1 from a Mexican Rivieria Cruise. That was our first cruise doing the FE and we really enjoyed it. If there is room for one more, we would love to do it again. For this cruise, it is just the two of us!! We don't have a room number yet (GTY) but once we do, I will send that update as well...looking forward to cruising w/all of you!!

Your info has been added to the 1st page. :surfweb: Welcome aboard :hippie: What are your names and are you early or late dining? Are you celebrating anything?

Thanks for adding us to the list. We are Eric (46) and Dodie (45). We are on a waiting list for the first dinner seating since we have always had the second seating and I want to see what it is like having first seating for a change. This will be our 7th Disney Cruise (our 3rd in one year). We are not celebrating anything except we will be kidless for a change while on vacation! We are also DVC members and on our last cruise, we purchased more points...so what better way to use them than on a cruise!

How do I access the FE list? Is it in another post or is there a link to it? I had seen one on a previous post in this thread.

Thanks again

It is now (FE list) in two places. The 1st post has all of the info. FE is in red. Also post #700 has a consolidated spreadsheet type info.
Presently counting your info there are 30 families participating. There is a discussion about making smaller groups.

PS - this new info is now listed in the 1st post ;)
