I too have been looking at excersions. We have two 10 year olds and a 5 year. They will actually be studying the ruins in social studies about the same time we are there, so that would be cool, but I think it might be too much for them. I know they would love something with dolphins, but I don't know which ones are good and which ones aren't. I have also thought about some snorkeling, but not sure if the 5 year old can do it yet. He is a good swimmer. Any suggestions would be apprectiated.
My honest opinion on Dolphin swims? Save your excursion money and go to Discovery Cove when they're a bit older. We've done the one in Chakanaab and it was OK, but in a very small pen, and they were definitely on "Mexico time", we ended up being about 2 hours late for our appointment, not booked through Disney, so we were worried we'd have to skip it to make it back to the ship in time. Discovery Cove is awesome, we learned so much about the dolphins, and their snorkeling lagoon was really cool, I'd go on a nice warm summer day, the water's a bit cool, but it was amazing.
