we are doing 7 day land sea .. were are on the 10/13/05 sailing when i checked to see if the cost went up or down it says its not available ? sold out? guess that means crowed ship... no free up grade... no chance of changing dining times were wait listed any ever go on a sold out cruise?
thanks

Yes, I have been on a "sold-out" cruise... I think the chances of a free upgrade are so few and far between anyway, it really does not matter..If you have the pixie dust, then you have it...

Sometimes you check the website, and it says no availability, and then a few hours later, there is availability.. :confused3

I hope you do get your early dining.. :goodvibes

When we sailed on 8/13 we noticed a sign at check in that said something to the effect the ship is full, we cannot offer upgrades, so my recent cruise was full.

I originally had late seating but was wait listed for early (I did this at a crazed moment worried about the time change). By the time we got our docs we had gotten early...when I realized I didnt really want early, LOL! So, upon boarding we went to the dining assignment change area and were able to change back to late. We did lose the rotation I wanted, but we kept our own table and got late. So, changes can be made even on a full ship. :)

As for upgrades, those are few and far bewtween, so the chances of getting one anyway, isnt really worth getting your hopes up for.

And other than the obvious times, like exiting a show or lines for pictures, we never really felt crowded or packed in. Even on sea days I had no problem getting chairs on deck and the lunch buffet line was usually a walk through with no line. I never would have guessed the ship was full.

Good luck! :)

We cruised in January and our ship was full. We got stuck with late seating but wait listed for early. When we boarded, I went right to where I was supposed to and put my name on the list to change from late to early. We never got it and had to have dinner every night at 8:30 with a 2 year old. So, there are some people who don't get dining changed. I made sure for the 11 night cruise we got early when we booked.

Hi,

We are on the 13th of october too. I wished for an upgrade but took a cabin I already love to have so we won't be dissapointed. Maybe a full ship does the children in america have a holiday on that time?

The beginning of that week we have Columbus Day - a Monday holiday - which might explain why that is booked solid.

We had late seating last year too, and our son was 1½ at the time. At first I was stressed about it, but it really worked out well. We tried to have a relatively healthy, big lunch late each afternoon, and then we gave the children dinner in the room (probably 4 out of the 7 nights). We'd all see the show together, drop the 7yo off in the club, and the baby would fall asleep in my arms as we were waiting for dinner. I'd transfer him to his stroller and he slept straight through. It ended up being really nice for my husband and me to get some "alone" time a few nights.

Thats real great that your son would do that Unfortunately my son was just not that type of child. Either a sleeper or not. Would never fall asleep out anywhere, afraid he might miss something. And unfortunately my DD is worse than he was. :) But what are you going to do? :confused3 They're only little once, just gotta deal with it. BTW, Good Luck to the OP, hope you get your seating changed. BTW, we did talk to the waiter the 1st night explained the situation and he always rushed dinner, so we were out of there everynight in 45 minutes, fortunately for everyone.

i am good with my room choice but one can alwasy dream of an up grade
just being on the ship is good enough .. i just hope with late seating my grand kids dont miss out on fire works etc.

The Chandler AZ district has 2 weeks at that time - we tend to vacation during Oct because of that!

We will be on the October 13th cruise also...
I don't know why but I am really surprised that they are sold out!

This is our first time cruising so I have nothing to compare it to - I'm sure we'll have a great time! :goodvibes
