mom2rose&john just called me from Disney(she doesn't have internet service) and left a message saying the fridge can't be found- she checked luggage services but they can't find it- they asked her what it looks like- has anyone heard how Merlot decorated it?

Merlot if you see this- did you get a claim ticket?

What should I tell her to do?

Just got back & had a great time. The fridge is in a white paper with a touch of gray in the background. I also put red duck tape on the edges all around the box (so we can identify it easy) I did turn it in & then would not give me a claim receipt. when I got there they had it all ready for me. Thanks again & if you could send me your e-mail I will send a picture.

I'm sure merlot put the right information on the box. What was the problem since they had the box the whole time?

If the papers are coming off, might I suggest for the next diser to get a clear see-through plastic sleeve that you can slide paper into. Like a paper protector of sorts. Duct tape that sucker on the side of the box real good, and then we can just slide the info in and out of the sleeve.


If you tape paper on the top of the boxes, they are certainly going to come off because they sometimes stack these boxes. Or they are just careless and the papers just come off and don't get reattached.


I think I'm also going to pm everyone with my cell phone number right before your trip, so when this happens, I can help as well.

Thanks for stepping in and helping to find the fridge everyone. I thought POP was going to have to deal with me again.

I called POP yesterday to see where the fridge was. his response was that is could easily be there however he had tons of luggage & couldn't see behind it all. I think you either need to get it in the morning or later in the evening. Just a thought. I did put all the info on the box (all 4 sides really big) along with Mony info on the top. I also put TOP on top of the box. When I received it they had it laying on the side (which is not good for a fridge). I think the way I have it decorated we shouldn't run into any other problems

Thanks for the welcome. We had a blast. The fridge mishap was the only hiccup. But that was resolved. The fridge was awesome to have and I apprectiate all the hard work everyone does. I brought the fridge down on Saturday Morning and they put it in the second storage area on the right as you are looking in. It is a white box with red tape along the edges. All the side have Jens info but I notice one side ripped when he placed (not so gently) on the shelf.

I am skeptical about the mishap because on Sunday three people looked and did not find anything and seemed aggravated. . I went once on Monday and once on Tues and the same men were there, I was about to give up when I called Jen but I gave it one last chance. The last time I asked a woman about a package that was a fridge and gave her my info that I gave Merlot. She knew exactly what it was and said "a Fridge" and retrieved the package immediately without looking aggravated. They let you use a dolly if you leave your ID and everthing went smooth .

Everyone have a save a great trip. I will definately tell people about this swap.

I think that Mony is right, I think the safest thing to do is to get a plastic sleeves to put on the sides and then ductape them shut so that the papers can't rip. Maybe like sheet protectors?
