Oceaneer's Club - Open House?

How does open house work? Is it just that parents are allowed in, but otherwise it functions normally and someone is there to check kids in and out? Or is it a free for all and everyone can come and go during those times?

We have early dinner, but if the kids are fidgety and want to go play for a bit before the show, would it be possible for one of us to take them down and make it back to dinner or is the Dream just too big for that to be even worth the time? They don't have a CM to take them during early dinner so that's moot.

Open House is free to come and go. There might be activities, but there's no way to check in during that time.

We did our own dine and play on the Fantasy. Once the kids finished dessert, I ran them upstairs to the clubs. When I came back the entrees were either just arriving or had just been delivered. I always took the stairs and it was easy. You'd be going from deck 2 aft, deck 3 aft, or deck 3 midship to deck 5 midship. So only a couple flights of stairs and not a long distance across the ship.

Open House is not secured programming. Adults and older/younger kids are all welcome at this time. CMs will not do check-in/out, they'll direct you to the "opposite" space (Club or Lab) for secure check-in. They do hold some standard programs during Open House times.

Yes, you can easily make it to the Club/Lab or Nursery to drop-off kids when they are done eating, between adult courses. Just ask for the kids' food to come out quickly.

Ah ok. That's fine then. We'd rather them sit with us through dinner and then we all go to the show together but they are all 5 so back up plans are a plus. lol
