Does the Oceaneer's club ever close because it has reached it's capacity of kids or it is pretty much always available?

I was under the impression that there is a cap number of kids permitted booked on any given cruise so that would not happen. But I have never confirmed that.

I have been on one 3 day and 2 7 day cruise with kids and never heard of a kid ever being turned away. They do cap the number of kids in each age group that are allowed on each cruise. I think that is how they prevent it from ever being closed.

Yes - I was told that they have a cap (e.g. if my friend wants to book her 3 year old in and there're no longer spaces for 3 year olds, they will not let her make the reservation).. But they won't tell me what that number at capacity is.. :)

The club has reached its limit in that past but that was on a rare occasion when the captain rewarded the crew by staying in the port until very late at night so guests ended up wanting to go back into town to see the night life and there was a jump in the number of kids being checked into the club. This is extremelyl rare, however, and in reading the cruise board for over four years I only recall seeing this posted as happing twice.

On one cruise we went on, the CM's made sure to tell all the parents to drop kids off early for the Goofy PJ party b/c it was possible it could fill up & they would turn families away. I'm not sure if they actually did that night but have heard of it in the past also. (Hopefully, they no longer do that and plan ahead for all eligible kids to attend :) )

I was told by Disney, they will not allow the reservation if the club has filled to capasity with children of a certain age group. We were wondering, because my last cruise, we had a friend whom tried to make reservations and she was told, the reservations were filled. Two days later we had two friends, nop children make a reservation and got on the ship. They informed us later that they had reached the limit with the number of kids in a particular age group on that cruise. I hope this helps.:hippie:
