Are there schedules posted for the Oceaneer Club to know when princesses or other characters will be there? It seems like some of those times would be fun for kids to attend even if there isn't anything speciifc that the adults are doing where they need to send them there.

Yes and no. There are specific activities in your Navigator that include a character or 2 (such as Do-Si-Do with Snow White, Goofy's PJ Party, or Mouseketeer Training with Mickey). If you aren't sure if there is a character included, you can ask a CM. Sometimes a character will make an "unscheduled" appearance, although the CMs working in the club usually know about it and sometimes will give you the heads up. More than once while checking in they have said, "We are expecting a surprise visitor in 15 minutes!". I'm not sure if there is a schedule that they could fill you in with or if the drop-ins are more unplanned.

There are schedules posted in the Navigators each day but they don't specify when characters will be there.

Some of the activities will say things like "There may be a surprise visit" or things like that.

I know Cinderella and Prince Charming come in for the Royal Ball. Belle reads a story to the kids but I don't recall the name of that one. Peter Pan used to come in for a "Where's Tink" activity.

What is the oldest age kid that participates in the character activities? My dd loves the characters, but she'll have just turned 9, so I'm guessing she'd feel silly if everyone else there was 4!

The club used to be broken down into 3-4's and 5-7's with each getting character activities. Now they have removed those age groupings and have suggested age appropriateness in the navigator. So your 9 year old could definitely go and do some of the character activities if she wanted...but yes, it would be with mostly younger kids. :)
