Hi!

Our first Disney cruise is just around the corner and I wondered if someone could tell us if it's true that our nearly 3-yr old would be able to participate in some of the Oceaneer Club activities if one of us stays with her, even if she is not fully potty trained?? Do they mind if parents hang around in the Club with the kids? She is sooo close to being fully trained but will still insist on a pull-up sometimes-- I kind of doubt she'd want to be left by herself in the Club anyway but we don't want her to miss out on some of the fun stuff for her age. We also understand no swim diapers are allowed except in the Mickey ear pool but she has done fine without them in other pools so hopefully we're OK on that! Thanks for any advice/info!

Yes it is true that you can stay with them and the counselors do not mind at all.

Hope you have a great time.

yes you may stay with them. or if you had to leave for your Palo's dining time, then counselors usually give kids one-on-one time if they have to. I've seen kids balling on top of a counselors lap while the counselor tries to console them. there was one time i saw 5 sets of these.

it's nice in a way but when there are ALOT of kids there, it takes away from the counselor:kids ratio.

Thanks for the reassurance!! Will we still need to register her the first day? If she's almost 3 (short by 3 weeks) will she likely be on their list?

They will have your daughters age on record and normally they will allow move-ups if the child is within a month of their birthday. The only problem that you might have is the potty trained requirement. If she's still in a pull-up, she may not be allowed admittance, even if you're with her. Your best bet is to talk with one of the counsellors during registration time. They have open registration from 12:45 - 3:15 on embarking day and again from 4:30 - 6pm.

As long as you are with the child, it doesn't matter if they are potty trained or not for the OC. They allow younger children in with an adult. You will be there if she needs to be changed, so they wont be involved with that at all. Most mornings when I took DS to the club there were 2 yos there with a family member to play before alot of kids checked in.
