Occupancy limits

Are the number of guests associated with each room type a suggestion or is that all that is permitted? We have three young kids who would comfortably sleep in the pull out beds. We recently stayed at BLT studio and it worked great. My youngest will be turning three before we return so we will have to count him as a guest. I wasn't sure if 5 people were permitted to stay in a room that is designed for 4.

That is all that’s permitted. If you plan on using the Magical Express bus, the person above the limit would not be eligible to board the bus. If extra magic hours return, the additional person would not be eligible for them either.

No worries, a guest remains the same age as on the date they checked in even if they have a birthday while there. So if your child is 2 years old at check-in it does not matter if they turn 3 while on vacation. He will not need park tickets and will not count towards room occupancy and will be able to ride the Magical Express.

To answer your question they are very firm about room limits as it has to do with fire codes. Having more people in your room than those registered and legally allowed is grounds for eviction.

I think the OP meant that her child will turn 3 before they return TO Disney, not home FROM Disney.

No. You can only have a fifth person if that person is under the age of three. Since your youngest will be three you need a villa that sleeps five. What did you plan on booking? A BLT one bedroom will sleep five.

We love Boardwalk and will probably book there. We are actually considering purchasing a resale contract at Boardwalk next year.

We've never stayed in a BWV studio, but from the site, looks like it has the pull down bed for the 5th person, so BWV studios sleep 5, and the 1 bedrooms can accommodate 5, if booking on points/DVC. But for any room that says sleeps 4, but can accommodate 5, you have to bring your own bedding, linens, mattress, etc.

We love BwV! have owned there since 2011. Love the location, and we stay there often.
