Ocala center and AP

I am turning my 2 5 day parkhopper plus passes into 2 AP in December. I am of course hoping for an AP discount. I know I will have to have the AP in hand at check in and was wondering if the Ocala Disney center can do this for me. I would be very helpful if they can. If not I have to go to one of the parks to guest services and park and do this here before check in. I have a will be 2 year old and well you guys know how that is. Also I do not want to have to pay to park or ride a bus just to do this. Can the guest services at downtown disney or pleasure island do this. We will probabally get there mid afternoon. Where in downtown disney if any place? Thanks, I am old to disney and new to AP, so any help will be apprciated.

I just called the Welcome Center a few minutes ago to check on activating my AP voucher there and they can do that. My advice would be to call them, that way you know you are getting the correct answer. The phone number there is 352-854-0770. Good luck! I know that being able to activate our Park Hoppers before we get to WDW will be a BIG help for us! I know for sure that you can get in done at the Guest Services at DTD.

DW and I stopped there to activate our AP's the first year we had them and it was very quick and easy. Much easier than when we reactivated them last year at Epcot and the guys computer kept locking up and the people at his computer help desk didn't answer......I think it ended up taking about 45 minutes at his ticket window before he got them to go through....that was no fun.

I would suggest calling them again. My Aunt, who lives in Ocala, just told my Mother that Disney is closing the welcome center as of August 13th.
