OC Fair opened July 16th! Here until Aug. 15, 2010

Hi, just wanted to post a quick post that the O.C. (Orange County) Fair opened yesterday for a one month run! The fair is dark on Monday and Tuesdays. My DD10, her BFF, and I went yesterday for opening day and had a wonderful time!

Everthing wasn't perfect but we had wonderful time even though it was so hot there! I figure it was well over 90 and it felt even hotter on the asphalt. It will be hot there again today, but a cooling trend is supposed to move in Sunday.

If you are visiting So Cal between now and Aug. 15th, I would suggest planning a day at the fair. Check out their website for special days (free admission, $1 rides/games,unlimited rides, senior days, etc.). If you are active in the military you can get in free everyday. See what O.C. has to offer.

I will post a TR soon, with pix. Rode a lot of rides, ate a lot of "Taste of the Fair" (only $1 each, every friday 12-4), saw a lot of animals, played one game (I hate the games at the fair), and did a lot of walking!

I am looking for discount tickets to the fair for when we are there soon. I know Ralphs is a sponsor; do they have anything you can buy through them?

I do have a shopper card to our Kroger affiliate that I know works at Ralphs. My mother went in a couple weeks ago to Ralphs and they were clueless.

Looking forward to eating something on a stick!

check out their website at ocfair.com. They have special days where admission is free (if you bring something in) and special ride offers as well.

Friday is $1 ride/game day.
