I might just have been offered an excellent job in Toronto out of the blue and my first thought?

How much are the flights to Orlando!

Around £200 as it happens woohoo.

Now all the boring things like do I really want to go, what visas, what are schools like, you know the sensible stuff lol.

we keep trying to get eldest to get a job at disney IT(one of the worst IT systems out there think they use ZX spectrums) so we can visit him or whistler so we can visit him and ski

Congrats!! I really hope at some point in my career I get the chance to work in the US or Canada :thumbsup2

that sounds Fab..

Have you been to Toronto before? It is one of the places that we felt we could actually live other then the UK..we loved it.

Flights at around £200, how great is that..

Wow, how exciting. lot to think about, but £200 to Disney must be a big pro. Good luck with your decision.

Ooooh! How exciting!

We have quite a few friends in Hamilton, which is about 40 miles out of Toronto - absolutely stunning area!

You would love it! Plus, you're about 75 miles to Niagara Falls and about 6 hours by train from New York.... not to mention being a couple of hours by plane from Disney! It's all very exciting!

I really hope to have the opportunity to live abroad at some point!

A lot of emails to and fro and the family are up for it (well the girls are too young to care really) so we'll see what happens. Schools will be the big thing as they are in a very good one here but got to offset the aggressive pace over here vs the breadth of experience and opportunities it might give them.

Just found Air Transat for flights who have some very reasonable prices from Manchester opening up the possibility of staying here for a couple of months and working there in the week while I see if it's going to work rather than shift the kids out of school straight away.

£300 return to Toronto from Manchester and quite convenient times too. Don't think the airline is all that great but if I'm on my own and just sleep all the way shouldn't be tooooo bad.

Good luck with your decision. We have toyed with the idea of looking for work abroad and Canada was one of the places we looked into.

Hope it all works out for you and you can't beat those flight prices. :cool1:
