Ok, I made it over to Universal yesterday, my first time in several weeks. I was actually shocked by the number of changes I have noticed, some i knew about, some I didn't!

So, I just wanted to post a few of my observations of new things I noticed.

IOA

1- Seuss Landing is in heavy construction mode. Place smelled like paint fumes, I kind of wished they did more work during off-hours. BUT..... its looking nice and once it is complete, I'm sure SL will look brand new once again! Also, glad to see Moose Juice back open.

2- Dueling Dragons looks very nice now that it has come out of its rehab for painting. The colors were starting to look quite dull.

3- I was pleasantly surprised by how great JPRA was looking and operating. The doors were working, the dinos looked good, and just everything in general was working great.

4- Rode Dudley for the first time since it reopened. I'm not an expert on Dudley's first drop, but it felt much tamer than what I remember.

5- Operations were great yesterday. Around 4pm-ish both DD and Hulk had 10-15 minute waits, which I attribute to the nubmer of trains being run and the crews operating the rides.

USF

1- Wow! Those giant inflatable balls are much larger than I was expecting

2- The old funnel cake place in Amity is now sells Fried Chicken and Fish and chips

3- The New video screen in the Mummy queue telling us that it is a roller coaster seems rather pointless to me. RotM was running quite well though!

4- Updated Beetlejuice show is MUCH better than the last version. It was quite fun, and I enjoyed it.

5- I LOVE the new MIB restraints. The seatbelts and row-long lap bars have been replaced by individual lap bars, yay! The one time I rode it, I didn't notice loading going faster, but it theoretically should speed things up. I did find it more comfortable though.

CityWalk-

Old Glow store is currently being used as hiring offices for bubba Gump

Speaking of Bubba Gump, it is shaping up quite nicely.

Didn't look at red Coconut Lounge up clsoe, but looking at it from a distance, it looks nice too.

Thanks for the updates. I haven't been to Universal in quite a while myself and am looking forward to seeing the changes you mentioned.

they're a huge improvement and very comfortable.

did you ride DD? we did both tracks twice, and I'm not sure what they did doing the refurb...but those trains are absolutely FLYING right now.

Thanks for the update, we arrive from England in August.

Thanks for the update. Can't wait to be there in about 6 weeks!! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much -- we'll be there in a week and a half! A question about the big inflatable balls -- are they doing any "practice" shows at night or anything? I'd love to watch even a part of the show when we go. Thanks ~
