What is blocking?

I think they are referring to the blackout dates for So. Cal and deluxe annual passes.

Blocking is referring to whether or not annual passes are valid that day. During the summer, only Premium and Premier passes are valid on Saturdays (all others are blocked).

The So Cal passes are blocked for most of the summer but the Deluxe passes are still good everyday except Saturday and holidays in summer.
