There were no big crowds.
Weather was not the best but I did get to a park every day of my 2 weeks.
Saw no large tour groups
Saw no line jumping
There was hardly any yelling or screaming by either kids or parents.
Blackened Catfish was not on the menu at Coral Reef. But thanks to the boards, I tried the steak and it was one of the best I have ever had.
I can't do TTA any more!!! I got to the top of the ramp and had a great ride. However, I have notice that because of both bad vision and vertigo I cannot go down esculators anymore.Up is fine. I didn't think this would be a problem at TTA because it is not steps, but it was. They had to turn off the ramp for me so I could get down. So be forwarned there is no elevator off this.
I am 60 and the ramps up to Monorails are getting steeper each trip. Must do more exercising before I go next time.
If like me you are daunted by the steep seating at the Stunt Spectacular, just tell the CMs directing the seating and they will show you to a lower area.
I find it very hard to get the product out of the hotel shampoo, conditioner, etc bottles.(I was at the Poly)
The Poly was a true delight. I changed my room to Theme park View halfway through my trip. What heaven!!!! Tuvalu 3410. But they really need to expand the offering at Cap't Cooks. They also need to get more channels on the room TVs. I would leave the parks at about 1pm and there is hardly anything for older people to watch in the afternoons.
Some times it it wiser just to get in the line for Toy story Mania than to get a Fast Pass. Both times I went the lines for FP were longer than the line to ride. First time was 5 min the second was about 10. The lines for FP reached almost to Little Mermaid

So to sum up go at the slower times if you can. Get to the parks even if the weather is iffy. If you are getting older like me go for a longer time and only do half days. I had a very restful and relaxing trip and did everything I wanted to do at least twice. Adding this little tip for other ladies of a certain age: There is no shame in using a liner if you know what I mean!!!!!

Biggest pet peeve about those little toiletries, I can hardly ever get the stuff out!!! Experience in my travels has led me to just bring my own but it's annoying when I run out of my own stuff or something and I need to use the hotel-provided stuff.

Sounds like an awesome trip! Thanks for sharing!!

I had to pound it my hand forever and it left little red rings on my palm. But then once I got a little out I would water the remaining down.

Sounds like a fun trip.

I have a hard time getting the soap out of that platic covering. Is there a trick to it?

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Re: TTA, is there an escalator or do you have to walk up a ramp to get on the attraction? I'm creeping up on that 60 mark myself and have mobility issues o I'm trying to gather as much information on the queues as possible before our trip in November.

Were there other queues that you found a bit too long? I'm trying to decide whether to leave my scooter outside the attractions and walk in, or take it with me as far as they'll let me.

It is a moving ramp both up and down kind of like an esculator but flat no steps. If you have mobility issues, I would probably not recommend TTA for you.

This might be a dumb question but what's a liner? Is it something other than the ones that go in your underpants?

Here is a view of the entrance to the TTA. Note that it's an escalator, but instead of using stairs it uses a conveyor belt type track.

That is what I'm talking about. For just a minor problem a liner is perfect. No need to go all the way to Depends. New liners are extremely absorbent.

I can stand and walk for short periods of time. My balance is ok as long as I haven't walked, or stood, to the point of pain. (Usually about a city block) The pain is what knocks me off balance. :sad2:

Thank you for the photo! :thumbsup2

I think I can manage this just fine. :cool1:

Am I the only person here who thought that was both a very informative and very funny report? Maybe it was the order in which it was written, but I was laughing..especially the liner info...very informative, and very funny!! BTW, I am 37 and I agree about the liners!!LOL!!

Thank you for your report! Great insights!! We love the Poly also and *may* be there that same timeframe next year, though I'm trying to sway DH to May- the kids just love to swim!

I'm going to move this to our trip report board now.

Thank you for your lovely comments and picking up on the humor. I had such a lovely trip and with the exceptions of the toiletries and the problem at TTA which was my own causing ( by the way the CMS at TTA could not have been nicer), I truely can say I encountered nothing negative in the entire two weeks. I also want to note that I had several great meals: Go for the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes at Kona, go for the fried chicken at PrimeTime, the New York strip steak at Coral Reef ( who knew except for dis'ers that a seafood place could do a great steak)

Some other highlights: I got to be first on Peter Pan my first day at Magic Kingdom

I was on camera at Laugh Floor

I cried on both trips on Magical Express.

Can't wait for next year!!!!!!!!!!
