Observation deck @ CR????

I had read in another thread (which I can’t find) that there is an observation deck at the CR.
We have PS at Chef Mickey’s about 45 mins. after FIS. I thought is would be nice to go over early and watch the fireworks and than eat. So, Is there a observation deck at the CR and where is it located? We are WDW resort guests, but not staying at the CR.
Any help would be great.

The deck is at the top. You get to it through The California Grill. Just ask when you get off the elavator and a CM can direct you to the doors.

It is beautiful. Last Christmas 2002 we had Christmas Dinner in the California Grill for about 6:30 and we were able to get a table next to the window facing the MK...it was Magical, just Magical.

Like yesdisneyfool said to get to the observtion deck go to the top, which is the 15th floor. When you exit the elevator turn left and you will come to the door. At the end of the deck to the left is MK.

From what Ive read here recently there is another deck off of the California Grille but that is exclusively for CG diners. I didnt see it, so I cant verify this, but its what Ive read.
