Observation Deck after Chef Mickey's?

Don't know if this is the right forum to post...but here goes...

We're doing Chef Mickey's in a few months but we're not staying at BLT. I know that we're not allowed to go to the TOFTW Lounge if not staying at BLT on a DVC ressie, but will they allow us to view fireworks from any observation deck at either CR or BLT if we're dining there? TIA!

There is an observation deck on the 4th floor of the Contemporary tower that you can go out on. It's the same place where the Sky Bridge from BLT connects with the Contemporary.

The 4th floor observation deck is open to anyone no matter if they are staying at the Contemporary or somewhere else. To find it just walk past the Fantasia Market and you will see the doors which lead right to it.

My husband happened to be on the 4th floor observation deck in the designated smoking area when the fireworks were on and said the view was pretty good. Not as awesome as from Top of the World, but better than being packed in with a million people on Main Street!

The obervation lounge in BLT is for those staying at BLT on points only, not dinners at the resorts restaurants. I believe the lounge at California Grill is reserved only for those guest dining there...smjj
