ObliO

I spent the first 5 years of my life thinking my name was Mah-tha as our neighbors and best friends were from NH!!!!

I think the post about the "Zee" is hilarious. I almost spit coffee out of my nose - :surfweb: :lmao: It's too early in the morning to laugh like that!

I also can't wait to see photos. I hope some day to be able to visit somewhere so exotic. (But I guess I need to find that MILLIONAIRE to marry first!)

when you do see if he wants to adopt 2 50+ yr olds( me and hubby) would ya?:rotfl: I have to say, all this globe trekking makes me envious...umm i might get to go to the exotic Detroit zoo this summer:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

since i have the ulgy ohio "a" accent, ( the accent i mean, not necessarily Ohio) and say "err" like a pirate instead of "are" i was wondering if Australians say OZtrailia as well...

as as far as names go, and I don't want to even start thinking about our Tenn. relatives...i thought one was named Mar-shon for yrs ( marsha)

We don't even have the term "zed" in this country! And if we ain't got it, it ain't worth havin'. :lmao: And forget trying to use "naught", either! People will give you a real strange butcher's if you talk that way... oh wait, I'm mixing up my Cockney and my Aussie. :faint:

Seriously, glad to see you back, 0bli0!

zed's dead, baby...zed's dead!

The only word that I think I understand there is "footy" and it's another thing that us Ammerrikins use a different word for than every other English-speaking country.

What was I watching... I think it was "Wolf Creek", where the tourists encounter a native Australian outbacker and try to talk to how in "outback" language... pretty funny. Kind of like a US citizen going up to Canada and saying "eh?" all the time. :)
