We booked OGT 4 weeks before our Fantasy Cruise that just ended on Saturday. We got 2 OBCs. One was from DU which we expected, one was $50 beverage credit from Disney. That was a surprise since we booked so late. Does Disney always give cruisers a beverage credit? Is it because we are Platinum? I never looked closely at the little cards before.

Did you use a Disney Visa?

Yes, the perk for Disney Visa is $50 OBC. I have read it was able to be used for anything but that disney was changing it to a beverage credit.

From the DisneyRewards website:
Must use your valid Disney Visa Card to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation for sailings through 12/30/2015 to receive a $50 onboard credit good towards beverages. Call 1-800-257-2024 or your travel agent to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation and ask for booking code DCC. Offer must be requested at time of booking for new bookings only. The onboard credit is per stateroom for each stateroom paid in full with your Disney Visa Card. Offer is valid for up to two staterooms. Any unused portions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts and is for personal use only. Offer subject to change or cancellation without notice. Ships’ Registry: The Bahamas. Chase is not responsible or liable for fulfillment of this offer.

Thanks! We never gave a code to get the credit, I suppose DU did!

What if I book while on board do I get an on board credit? If so how much for a four night?

Onboard booking (OBB) benefits include OBC of $100 for cruises of less than 7 nights, and $200 for cruises of 7+ nights. There is also a 10% discount off the fare. And a reduced deposit (10% instead of standard 20%) for cruises of 7+ nights. This cannot be combined with the Disney Visa OBC offer, but can be combined with a TA's offer. OBBs are subject to black-out dates (generally holidays, sometimes peak times and/or special itineraries).

Enjoy your cruise!

Isn't the OBB offer 10% off of the deposit, not the fare? Or both?

As noted above, the OBB offer includes a 10% discount off the cruise FARE (exclusive of taxes, fees, insurance, etc.). On cruises of 7+ nights, there is also a reduced deposit required (10% instead of the standard 20%); shorter cruises require the standard 20% deposit.

Enjoy your cruise!

When does the OBB OBC show up, on the last day on the final statement?

We booked our upcoming 7-day cruise back in Sept on board so we are supposed to have a $200 OBC - Yeah!
