Hi--

I think I know the answer to this question, but wanted to come to the experts :)

I have two cruises booked for the spring, and we can only go on one of them!

The first one I booked on opening day--a 7 night Magic for the first week of april 2016 (heavy spring break time here in Michigan). That cruise is now going for about 2K more than the rate we currently have.

The second one I book on board this February for a President's Day 4 night Magic. I got the OBB discount and the shipboard credit for OBB.

I am thinking that we will probably go on the 7-night one. Is there anyway to transfer our OBB discount wtihout completely cancelling the original one that we have for 2K cheaper?

Thanks for any and all advice!
Heather

No. When you book onboard, you pay the prevailing rate at that time, less the 10% discount. If you are re-shopping a cruise, then it is counted as the previous booking being cancelled and the OBB is a new booking.

You can change the date -- the fare will adjust to the current fare of the new cruise minus 10%. But as long as you remain within the 24 month window (24 months from when you were onboard and initially made the OBB) you keep all benefits. There are a few blackout dates; I think you will get OBC if you transfer to one of those cruises.

So the OBB you just booked this past February, you can push that one out until as late as February 2017. If you think you may be able to cruise then. If you cancel, you will receive all deposit monies back (assuming non-concierge) as long as you cancel before the PIF date.

Enjoy your cruises!
