OBB cruise within 90 days of booking

If you do OBB for a return cruise that is less than 90 days out from the cruise you're on when you book, will there be Guarantee rates available or will they book you into a specific stateroom? We've always booked a year or so out when doing OBB, but we're considering booking for spring break (early March) when we're on in mid-December.

You can book on any offered rates at that time. If GTY is on any Cat they will book that.

You can have a specific category GTY booking with an OBB, but you cannot combine a *GT booking with an OBB. So it is possible to have an unassigned stateroom, but it will not be the larger discounted rates of *GT. You'll have to decide which is a better deal -- the *GT or the OBB discount and OBC (deposit is moot as full payment will be due at booking if within the PIF).

There is no guarantee that any particular reduced fare will be available. As is pointed out you cannot combine discounted rates VGT and OBB for example. Not sure about FLR or MTO rates and OBB.
