Hi guys! I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Oasis all inclusives in Cancun. I've been researching them all, but can't quite decide. It looks like the worst reviews are for the Oasis Cancun and the the best reviews are for the Oasis Viva Beach and the Grand Oasis Caribbean. My friend stayed at the Grand Oasis Cancun and was happy with it, but the reviews are horrible. All we care about is good food(nothing fancy), a clean room, and some good beach to lay on. I've found a good deal for my family of 4 to go June 2nd-9th and even fly out of Wichita for under $2,000. It is for 7 nights. I thought this was a great price. What do you guys think? Oh, the Royal Solaris was also an option. Help me, I need to get this booked:confused3 Thanks, Jenn

We stay at GRAN CARIBE REAL RESORT & SPA IN CANCUN and love it...cant wait to go back this winter......great rates, kids are free and i dont recall seeing alot of bad reviews............

We stayed here on our very first trip to Cancun and had a wonderful time. The place was called something different at that time.

We have also stayed at the Riu resorts and they are very nice in Cancun as well. Riu Caribe, Riu Cancun and Riu Palace Cancun. All VERY nice.

We stayed at the Grand Oasis Riveria Maya (located in Alcumel) for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing. It's far from Cancun (but on our honeymoon that was during spring break, we didn't want to be close to Cancun).

The hotel was beautiful, even though it was under construction due to the hurricanes (this was in 2006). Staff was amazing and the food was incredible.

Must agree with StefnMike about GORM; it is one of my favorites! The beaches in Akumal are so much better than Cancun and the area at the resort is fantastic- crystal clear and the reef that breaks the waves makes such a great area to see all of the fish right off the beach. I've been twice, my parents go twice a year (for 15+ years!) and it's where my sister was married. My son loved it two years ago when we were there. Not a lot of kids stuff to do, but he was just as happy on the beach and in the pool with his cousins.

If it's only between these hotels, I would pick the Royal Solaris. It is a better all around hotel. We have not stayed at the Oasis properties in cancun, but have heard they are more spring breaky, cheap places.

We have also stayed at the Crown Paradise in Cancun -- it is a moderate family hotel with a small waterpark area. It was nice.

DD (8) and I stayed at the Grand Oasis Playa this last January with another teammate and her mom when we went to Cancun for a gymnastics meet. It was a nice enough hotel for the time that we were there. The beach was nice, and the food was good. It was much better going all inclusive, unlike other team members that stayed at the host hotel, (the Hilton).

mom2kazkids- Thanks for your reply. This was one of the hotels I was really looking at. There is a video clip of the hotel on bookit.com and it appears very nice. Would you say this video is deceiving? Were the rooms clean? I 'm also considering Grand Oasis Caribean or the Oasis Viva Beach. Did you visit any of these by chance? Thanks! Jenn
