Oasis class ship vs Celebrity Edge/Apex

We are going on a western Mediterranean cruise next year and are looking at either the new Apex(similar to the celebrity edge) with celebrity or Harmony of the seas. Has anyone sailed both? It will be myself and my husband as well as my parents who are in their sixties. Worried celebrity may be too snooty? I have sailed all but Disney wonder in the past as well as the symphony of the seas for comparison and loved both Disney and the oasis class ships.

My understanding of Mediterranean cruises is they are quite port intensive so you will have less time to enjoy the ship. The ship may be less important in your decision, are the ports the same?

Itineraries are almost the same. The celebrity has an extra port though.

Celebrity had port specialists who gave presentations about the cultures and highlights of each port on our Caribbean cruise. These were NOT the awful port shopping talks, but entertaining, educatiomal seminars and one of my favorite things about Celebrity.

We have just returned from a Celebrity cruise. It was definitely a more adult-only crowd than DCL, but still fun. The Captain’s announcements every day were brilliant - the award winning was “Today the ship’s position is upright, and I intend to keep it that way”!
