Looking for information or reviews about this resort. Sounds nice and we are able to get a great rate (90.00 @night) for a two bedroom. Thanks for your input! Barbara

I stayed there two nights last June thru a real bargain from Hotel Kingdom. Being an owner at Vistana I was surprised that this resort was so old and used the Vistana name. it's nothing like the other Vistana resots I have been to.
It was annoying that the desk clerk wasted a great deal of my time trying to get me to a timeshare breakfast knowing I had only two days.
The resort is old and very small with few activities, but for the price it was far superior to newer suites hotels. the rooms were clean though dull in decor.

I had a one bedroom with a full size kitchen, a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size pullout in the living room.
I was amused that there was a machine that was a combination washer and a dryer. When the clothes came out too damp the only way to redry was to reset the entire cycle which meant rewashing everything. There is a public laundry.
The parking was poor --I had to park quite distance from my unit which was on the ground level. It made packing to check out digfficult.
It is across the street from the Oceola Mall (very minimal mall, more like a shopping center - no department stores)on I192 so I was able to walk to the movie theatre at night.

I went to Oak Plantation last year, and we had a one bedroom with a loft, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. There were 2 adults and 4 children. We were very comfortable. It was not beat up or old looking, the place smelled nice, and looked nice. Let me tell you honey, it beat staying at a cramped hotel anyday.

We stayed there a few years back and were very pleased with it for the price. It had a very nice, big pool, which we didn't have a chance to use. It is really almost set up like a large apartment complex. From what I recall, there were walkway all around and a big lagoon. It also had a playground, etc.

We had a one bedroom unit which had a very large living room and dining room an ample sized kitchen and a laundry room with full size machines. It had a king size bed in the bedroom and a fold out queen in the living room. At the time we stayed there, it was part of the Hampton chain and included breakfast, I don't know if this is the case anymore. The complex felt very secure and had a gate house to get into it. The parking was like what you would experience in an apartment complex. The units are surrounding a parking lot so sometimes we could park in front of door, other times we were 50 feet away. For the money, it really was a nice place.

We have stayed there twice in the past in what they call their larger 1 bedroom units. Those units have full size washer and dryers. The person who had the problems was in a smaller 1 bedroom. Is $90 for a 2 bedroom here a good deal, yes, very much so. Is this place similar to the newer Marriott properties or VV, no. But it is a clean place to stay with 2 nice pools and a spray area for little ones. The only negative is that it is a bit farther out than some of the other resorts. But it is still no more than 15 to 20 minutes to all of the Disney parks. We are DVC owners and have stayed at VV, etc. and we would still consider staying at OP if the price is right. I would keep this reservation if I were you. If you have anymore questions, please feel free ask. As for a front desk person pushing a timeshare, just say no thanks and move on if you are not interested. It is as simple as that. We had no parking problems and even took advantage of their car wash area, very nice for getting the bugs off if you drive your own vehicle a great distance.
