My husband and I are taking a trip for our 20th wedding anniversary. We have decided to go to St. Lucia. Anyone have suggestions of a resort or an area to stay in? Other suggestions of things to do in St. Lucia would be appreciated also!

Wow, 25 1/5 years ago went there on our Honeymoon. It was called "Couples" resort then....Lovely, we actually even got "re-married" on a Pirate Ship by the captain, lots of fun........I am sure it has all changed by now and others will chime in..I love vacations but for me 2 weeks was too long there (but why is it I can stay at Disney even longer??:rotfl:) We saw the volcanos as I recall and did lots of water stuff...
We actually flew to another island for a shorter stay and took this teeny tiny plane:eek: over to St Lucia for the next two weeks, I must say the water was incredible even though I was scared to death. ENJOY and congrats on the 2o years!

Have you checked out the Sandals resort in St. Lucia? I haven't been there, but we recently stayed at a Sandals resort in Jamaica and had a fabulous time. Everything was all inclusive...all meals (which were usually very good), coffee shop, snorkeling, water activities, 2 diving trips per day (if you're certified), and they also do airport transfers.

We went here on our honeymoon 16 years ago, and loved it! At the time, all of the flights went into an airport about an hour away from the resort, so we chartered a helicopter to fly us to the one a few minutes away from the resort - it was so cool!

we stayed at the Grande St. Lucian Resort (sandals) 5 years ago for our Honeymoon. It was really pretty and peaceful. The room was huge and always clean.

We were there 5 years ago, too, but it was our 30th anniversary!:thumbsup2 The best thing about Sandals on St. Lucia is that they actually have 3 different resorts fairly close together and you can use the facilities (and restaurants) for all three in your all-inclusive!
Our only drawback was that we felt like the oldest people there; everyone else was honeymooners!

We stayed at Windjammer Landing in St Lucia to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was wonderful! very beautiful rooms and extremely friendly staff. many couples and families seem to go back to that resort year after year. lots of brits there too. You'll definitely want to go see the Pitons (the big mountain peaks that jut right out of the ocean) while in St Lucia. Beautiful!! Have fun!

We spent our honeymoon at Windjammer Landing. Fabulous:thumbsup2 The only thing I would have done differently was to take a helicopter from the airport to the resort. The ride is very long and winding and stressful. We did the piton tour, the sulpher baths and catamaran to the Grenadines. Just loved it. Make sure to book a suite with a private plunge pool, so nice:hug:

We stayed at Sandals for our honeymoon, but it was back in 1993. I'm pretty sure there are three there now. We stayed at the one with the golf course. It was very nice and very clean.

just don't do sandals. i have known several people to go who hated it. i'm pretty snobby about where i go - and sandals is not that great once you've been other places.
my ta who is a sandals certified whatever (lol - i don't know their credentials!) even steered me away from sandals st. lucia when i questioned her about it just because i was interested to see what she would say.
