O/T Should we just stop buying Toys Altogether???

After the latest Aqua-Dots recall......Too many recalls to keep up with ! And doesn't it just bug you when the News station gives you a "sound-bite" about "Which toy has been recalled now" and does not tell you until the 10 pm news???? What if your child was playing with those Aqua-Dots @ 5 pm when you heard this, and later swallows one and then you are in the emergency room @ 10 pm when they announce it is Aqua-Dots???????? Your child's health is at risk and they are all about ratings, and getting you to "Stay-Tuned" I think when the media finds out about a recall it should go across the bottom of the screen at least, like a weather alert or something.
Sometimes ours makes us wait days....we had a pacifier story preview and we did not get the story for at least 24 hrs. Honey or corn syrup in Mexican made pacifiers causes Botulism, and thousands of babies are sucking on them through the day and night and we have to wait to hear the story!!!

The media really should think about the children, not ratings!!!

And I can't stand the way that the news stations present their stories. They just seem to want people to freak out because of ratings. "If you go to sleep tonight, there is a risk that you might die. Full story at 10." It is soooo alarmist, and it is just for ratings. With the internet, you can ignore the tv, and find out what you want. I love that I can check the weather and not wait for that weatherman. "Are there more storms in the forecast? We'll let you know in exactly 19 minutes." Ugh.
