Just there last Friday. The park is packed, the old stand by ride lines are not bad, major attractions were long.
The worse thing is the heat and humidity. It was about 82* the day we went, and humid, but a breeze blowing. Which the hotter out, better for the water rides.
There is a park preview the night before, take advantage as the lines do go down in the evening. I know they use to have a fantastic fireworks show that was great some years ago, not sure now. Then the ticket is taken the next day for a day of fun...or if it rains, do rainy day sight seeing and go another day to the park.
We camped at HErshey High MEadows for 25 years as the kids grew. From the OLD, cabins, to tent, to pop up, to cabin again.
Most recently as Dad and I got older, we stay at the Days Inn, exit at Rt 783, off I 81 it is 6 miles from the park, about $60 a night the last trip we took with
AAA discount.
Do all the things that keep you cool as Disney.
There are a few other choice parks near by. You have to see Knoboels not any where as large as Hershey, but free parking, free entry. Just buy wrist bands or books of coupons for the weekends. I get ours at AAA.
THe food is fantastic and rated in the top 20 parks on a recent show I saw. THere is something for everyone. amoung trees, small creeks, stage shows, arcade BUT THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR!!!!!! There are picnic tables you can actually leave your cooler on, and close enough to get back to.
